VC is an outstanding school with high academic standards that offers an abundance of great co-curricular opportunities. The teachers are caring and focused partners. My son has found friends for life who are kind, caring and driven. I cannot recommend this school enough.
Villanova College is a remarkable school! There are many academic supports and opportunities to get involved in through the many clubs, academic excursions, extra-curriculars, outreach, and school events. The environment is warm and welcoming. When you enroll at VC, you become a part of a family. The teachers are dedicated and care. I will never forget the six years I was a student there. As a graduate, I am proud to say I spent my formative years here and will cherish the school trips and many experiences within the school community. No matter the many years that may pass, VC will be my second home. The school instills values and a work ethic that will be a part of you, well beyond your high school years.
I am incredibly grateful that I was able to spend my high school years at VC. Beyond the amazing faculty & valuable educational opportunities that were available to students, it was the incredibly close community & special initiatives that led to memories I’ll cherish forever. It’s a community that supports students during and after their time at VC. I am proud to be a Villanova College alumna and will continue to support the community in the years to come. To future students: VC is an amazing decision and is a community that will have your back long after you graduate. Parents: Your children are in great hands.
As a student of Villanova College’s Class of 2021 now studying pre-medical health sciences at the post-secondary level, I can confidently attest to the merits of attending such a fine institution. Throughout my 6 years at the school, I was continuously supported by teachers and staff through my studies both inside and outside of the classroom. Villanova’s advising team introduced me to the wonders of the STEM program, which forced me to step outside of my comfort zone and realize my true zest for scientific advancement. At the same time, I was able to take advantage of national and international learning opportunities as a student, participating in nationwide public speaking, engineering, writing, and mathematics competitions. On top of this, the broad array of extracurriculars offered at this school allowed me to delve into unique interests that I would have otherwise never discovered. Its focus on integrating religion and faith studies into education caused me to get involved in my community through service, creating valuable memories and teaching me life lessons that I continually apply in my daily life. Looking back, I would not have been able to develop as not only a learner, but also a complete individual without the influence of Villanova College. A school is so much more than simply a place of study; rather, for me and all other Villanova alumni, it is truly a second home that will always hold a special place in my heart.
Teachers are so nice and down to earth, they will help you with whatever you need and will not rest until you understand, that's the only reason I'm giving any stars. I am so grateful for my teachers. It really feels like all they care about is money, when I considered leaving the school they pestered me to stay and started treating my differently which was sooo weird and sketchy. But the social situation if you are not a rich white kid you will not fit in. Great gateway for alcohol and substance use as there is such small options for friends that it was very hard to find a group who is not into substance use. At least at a public school you have the option to not hang out with people who glorify substance use. There was a sketchy incident where allegedly someone threatened to shoot up the school but the school wasn't sure of the severity so they said it was a fire drill, put all of us in the parking lot with the kid then embarrassed the kid by calling him inside the school so the police could interrogate. On the bright side if you donate to the school enough outside of all the mandatory fees you are guaranteed a good grade so that will get you into university but you may not be as prepared. While private school is a good option, its just much better in my opinion to receive the exposure to different social groups, cultures and social classes from a public/catholic school. Its a matter of debating if you are willing to pay for really nice teachers who also don't have a union so won't strike on you for no reason, I'm looking at you YCDSB at the cost of not learning social skills until university. I'm not blaming the school for my issues but it just wasn't for me and I was not happy there at the time, this does not mean you may not enjoy it as every year of students is different. I'd say its worth a try you might be lucky and get some good kids in your year.
I will never get over the regret i have from going to this school. I always heard awful things about this school and never listened, To start off, the kids that go here all have major attitude and behavioural problems i have never met more mean, spoiled rude children in my life. A lot of bullying going on with the girls. I do have to say some teachers were amazing, other teachers were unprofessional. Would gossip with their "favourite" students about other students this was an absolute joke of an institution i did not have proper highschool experience and this place truly ruined 4 years of my life. Listen to the other reviews and do NOT come here.
My sons attend VC. Great teachers, solid support available to all students, super sport programs and other extra curricular activities. School authorities are consistent with discipline and students are well aware of school's expectations of them. There's a great sense of community and school pride. Parent concerns are handled with respect and in a timely manner.
I went to this school for 4 years, and it is safe to say this was by far the worst experience of my life. The administration is such a scam, they will say anything for you to pay the yearly tuition. They only focus on one thing....Money. They will do anything to get your money; and when money isn’t involved, they don’t care and treat you like a prisoner. To be fair, a few a the teachers are great, but the school-environment is a joke, you are surrounded by rich-spoiled kids who can’t show respect, snobby administrators who just have money on there mind, and many teachers who will make learning a difficulty and a pain. Overall, a JOKE
I went to VC for 7 years, from Grade 6 - Grade 12. I had some of the best years of my life at this school. I only wish that the next generation of students has full utilization of the school when it’s finished. People always say, “They’ll do anything to get your money!” Those people don’t realize that the school is in debt because of how much money it costs to build the actual building and maintain it. I’m not here to preach that the school is perfect but I’m not here to say it’s flawed either. The administration is great, the staff is great. There is no other school that I would rather send my kids to than this school.
When my son attended Villanova, I felt like he was constantly bullied and made fun of by other teacher/students. On top of that, they are very strict with uniform and it is difficult to follow. They leave little room for students to enjoy themselves. Athletics are terrible. THEY LIE TO YOU WHEN YOU GO HERE. THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET A SALE. MONEY DRIVEN SCHOOL. I SPENT 100 GRAND ON THIS SCHOOL IN 4 YEARS AND REGRET IT. when we decided to leave, they did not treat my son well and made him feel like an outsider. DO NOT GO HERE
