Great location, good service and fine rooms. Those with a sensitive nose may well want to stay clear of first floor with pool odour. Breakfast was ok, though no bacon on days we were there and freshness of warm items left much to be desired. Rooms though dated were cozy, my partner likened them to one's she has visited in Italy but cleaner. Overall, wouldn't return at full price, but would definitely consider as part of a package deal or last minute offer. PS: Pairs well with Montreal passport ; Nearby activities: Grand roue, PHI Centre, Distorision - Van Gogh
We were two couples in two adjoining rooms which were both very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The gentleman who attended the parking was very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed the lounge for cocktails! The location is ideal to walk around and experience old Montreal!
Let’s start with the pros: friendly staff and nice welcome gift, great location in old port, ok breakfast lots of traffic during breakfast hours but they do have nice croissants, slept fine though bed was a bit on the hard side. But a few negatives: loud heater, odd suite layout, shower had almost no pressure they did adjust it, the room felt dark and inhospitable, a lot of things seemed dated, bathroom was tiny. So room for improvement. The value for price paid was fine.
We stayed for a weekend as a family of four. You can't beat the location especially with young kids who won't want to walk overly far. We had a suite with two beds, a pull out and small kitchenette and had a ton of space. Others mentioned the air conditioner being loud, it was, but I didn't mind it as it helped to drown out he loud city noises. The beds were very comfortable, we had fantastic sleep. The staff was always very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast had a really great selection and there were some sundries in the lobby as well. Parking anywhere in Montreal is tough, so once we parked, we didn't use our car again for the duration of our stay! If you have issue with the smaller parking lot, there seemed to be a large number of other parking lots nearby. The pool was very, very small as others have indicated but it was perfect for us and I guess others were put off by the small size and old tiles as we almost always had it to ourselves which was great.
This hotel is in a great location as it sits in the heart of Old Montreal. The 2 double bed suite is spacious with a pull out sofa while the view left something to be desired looking into a classroom. The service was not very good. We had no linens for our sofa bed. I called down for some to be brought up and an hour later called again. Both times I was told it would be brought right up and two hours later thry were still not sent up. We were unable to use the sofa bed the first night and had to sleep 3 of us uncomfortably on 1 bed. I feel there should have been some reimbursement for this as we didn't get to use the extra bed that we had paid for. The second night we did finally get the linens which made the stay more comfortable. The breakfast is ok. There is both hot and cold foods-something for everyone. The pool, although small, was something for the kids to do. They enjoyed going for a few swims.
It’s perfect location! Room is nice . And I was surprise for Breakfast. WOW! 2nd best Croissant in my life. So delicious.First best was from Paris,France all bread was warm served and taste like homemade .. I will definitely come back!
Location is great, parking with an suv was difficult. Breakfast was okay, could have been warmer but okay selection. We stayed on a weekend in December and the price was outrageous for a room that smelt funny but we weren’t visiting Montreal to stay in our hotel so we dealt with it. Pool is very small, but was fine as we were the only family in there.
Great location in the middle of old part of Montreal. Walking along the cobblestone streets with snow and Christmas lights up was like being in a movie. Couldn't have been more perfect. Hotel was nice good selection on the free breakfast. Great view from our room too! Employees were professional and courteous. Walking distance to so much. My favorite was the Notre Dame Cathedral. Must go see it!
Working with their group sales department was incredibly stressful and unprofessional. I was trying to get a group rate for 15 rooms. They wouldn't return calls, and ghosted my emails. After going there in person to meet with the Rep, I was promised that things would be fixed the next day and that they would provide a contract. Sure enough, a week later and they still haven't reached out. I will give a shout out to Alexandre from the front desk. He's the only one of the people answering the phones that made a strong effort to try and get me in touch with the team.
Pros- good location, lots near by, comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and staff are friendly Cons- Room feels dirty, especially the carpet, our “king suite” did not look anything like the pictures and once the fold out couch was out you couldn’t get through the room. The room was never properly serviced, even when requested and to “make” the fold out couch they just left some sheets and a pillow at the door and we had to ask for a duvet three times before receiving. On top of that they would refuse to make the sofa bed so I guess if you use the fold out, you aren’t considered a guest. Breakfast very basic and often just unappetising eg. Eggs fluorescent yellow and some sort of pork pancake that looked like a soggy hash brown. Gym is also a kind word for the room that consisted of two very dirty treadmills, a filthy floor, elliptical and five sets of dumbbells, beside a foggy paddle pool. Location is great, but I would look to other hotels in the area. Walkability: Near lots of shops and restaurants.
