Vietnam Mekong Restaurant

Came here last night for supper with a friend. Delicious food however a little too spicy I noticed there were chilli flakes that weren’t there other times I’ve ordered. My friend and I both needed to pick the chilli flakes out cause it was way too spicy for us. I had vermicelli spring roll with beef. Giving a 3 star because the food was too spicy and from what I could tell there was only one server working. Also, the table my friend and I sat at also had a very rank BO on the cushions that we smelt the whole time. Will come again to this restaurant but only for take out, not dine in due to the bad smell.

This place used to be my partners favorite so upon visiting for a few days we grabbed take out. The ginger beef was nothing like ginger beef and really overcooked. The spring rolls were hard and chewy and dry, inedible. I'm not overly picky when it comes to food but we simply couldn't eat our meals.

Absolutely love this place, and have ordered take out from them many, MANY times. Always delicious, always consistent, fast pick up times.

Not really all that, breaded shrimp was surrounded witha thick batter not quite cooked all the way through couldn't taste the shrimp as it was lost in all that batter, wasn't impressedFood: 2/5

Im not a finicky eater and I like new and different flavors but not impressed and a 2 might be generous. Chicken fried rice tasted old and had a strange flavor. Chicken wings were ok but 1 of the 5 was raw. Not pink and undercooked but red raw. I won't be back

Hmmmm... Ordered lunch and early supper many times and the Vietnamese food was beyond delicious, best I've had. Ordered last night around 6:30 pm....ouch...both Vietnamese vermicelli dish and Chinese combo was one of the worst ever....soupy, doughy, flavourless. Guessing it different cooks between day and night. Please fix this.

We have been on the search for a good Asian restaurant for about a year now for take out since our favorite Vietnamese food restaurant in the East End closed down. We ordered from Mekong several years ago but it was in competition with our old favorite restaurant and we found it a bit more expensive plus it was way on the other end of town. We have since moved to the area and our old favorite restaurant shut down. We hadn't yet found a place that compared. I told my husband we have to stop looking Chinese and go Vietnamese again. And Mekong is close to us now. Our biggest disappointment in other Asian takeout was how much our favorite Ginger Beef has changed to this dull brown soggy dish with barely any vegetables at the three other restaurants we have tried. Last night we decided to suck up the extra cost and try again, ordered from Mekong and they delivered over and above our expectations. The ginger beef was chewy crispy red and full of vegetables, everything tasted so fresh, the shrimp was cooked to perfection and not rubbery or fishy tasting, the chicken balls had so much flavor and they were not greasy, I could go on. Yes it's a tad bit more expensive but if you're craving oriental food it is well worth the extra price and won't leave you disappointed! We have found our new favorite Vietnamese restaurant!

Ever since the pandemic, my family has been exploring take out dinners for sunday nights! Their combo menu always satisfies every member of my family with its variety and quality!! Def one of our fave restaurants in Regina. Highly recommend ::

Food was good. Delivered paid cash. Stated cash online. Skip dishes factors tip into price. 36.40 with tip included. Shows up with debit. I say it's cash, I give 40, do you have 2 change for me. The guy says yes, hands food the gets in car and drives away. The quality of food and 1.5 hours til getting it from ordering does not deserve another 10% tip added on. Probably had no cash and lied to me
