I love to find out new library. While we walked around Belgravia, we found out this beautiful library. It was gorgeous inside as well as outside, but it was a shame that we couldn’t go up to the second floor. That is one reason I deduce one star!
It is a really beautiful library. If we look from the point of technology in our age, this library smells of nostalgia. The atmosphere and decoration are completely amazing. I do highly recommend everyone passing by here, at least to go inside and visit this awesome library…
The library is quite nice. It is not a big library with limited seats about 30. The librarian is nice.
Place is gross people seem to come in to the main area to nod off during their opiate high. Unfortunately, this may also be the reason there is no access to a toilet? Hard to spend time in an otherwise pretty library with great location when your bladder is yours to burst sitting next to people clipping toenails or dozing off between hits
This morning I took a 12 month old baby to rhyme time at the library. I sat on the floor with her and allowed her to explore. She is very sociable, confident and curious as well as being a fast crawler so naturally she was checking everything out. She absolutely loved the singing and was dancing and joining in and kept approaching the lady who was singing. I removed her once, the second time I was told to temple her from the box of soft toys and the third time when she tried to touch some fluffy toys on a chair I was tut tutted at. I picked the baby up and left the library. What a terrible way to be around small children. I have worked as a nanny for 35 years and been to many groups. NEVER have I been reprimanded in front of everyone for allowing a baby to explore. I shall never be returning and I won't be encouraging anyone else to go to the classes. And I woul just like to add, thank goodness she targeted me and not a first time mum with post natal depression!! She is definitely in the wrong job!
Perfectly placed when you're waiting for a bus from Victoria Coach Station, just across the road. For years I've been using the graphic novels section as my time-killer. It's a decent selection, high quality and satisfyingly complete in places. E.g., rather than random volumes with gaps in the sequence, the library has One Punch Man from #1 all the way through to #23, IIRC. There are plenty of plug sockets for charging too, with loads of tables and seats. Couldn't ask for more, unless it magically became 24hrs given how much the govt has cut library funding, have to be thankful for what we get.
I saw a disgusting article on the PC about a bloke called Michael Watts in Southampton who has been fiddling kiddies with Amy Brown
Walked in randomly and was shown around this lovely library by Peter. Great venue, peaceful vibes, nice light coming in through the windows. They are helping refugees as well. I wish I'd had more time to spend there; but was visiting from Florida.
While I was waiting for my bus from Victoria station I was able to have a moment of quiet meaningful study.
Really appreciate the free WiFi for an hour a day, especially when our home internet has been down for a week. Thank you. The reason for the 4 star- no emphasis on quieter conversations in a library?
