Campsites are very tight. Booked site 9 to have full service but the sewer hook up was on the wrong side of the trailer and probably 20 feet away. Too many families with young kids because the the pool looks very nice with slides and a fountain. Bathrooms were adequate and clean.
Very well kept and clean park. Camping and swimming, boat launch, with ample play areas and parking. Easy access and walking distance from downtown Souris. Recommended visit! To the west is a small campground and swimming pool. Lots are generous, with standard services, though navigating a long vehicle between the closely clustered trees can be challenging.
It's an OK little campground within easy walking distance of downtown. Some of the sites are kind of tight with the trees. It would be nice if they cleaned the garbage out of the creek behind site 52. The sewer drain on site 52 is a long way away and almost useless. We just used one on another site when we left.
A great little campground, quiet and lots of nearby nature to enjoy. We saw this beaver in the creek behind our site see photo just after arriving. Very friendly staff. Full service sites at reasonable rate. Realistically we basically had the place to ourselves .. After all its mid October. I do imagine in summer it could be crowded and noisy considering the closeness of sites and the pool. I'd risk it.
Very nice campground with an excellent location in town. Easy walking distance to most of the highlights that Souris offers. Would definitely stay here again.
Some sites tight. Beautiful old growth made it not easy to park trailer. Staff were very accommodating re getting alternative spot. On line registration confusing. Pleasant environment.
Camped here for a weekend. Very happy with the service we got. Easy walk to downtown. Lots to do. The streets are kept very clean in Souris.
It's Friday night at 10 pm on August 19 2022. I am in site 31 and all I can hear are crickets. This is literally the quietest, at night, campground I have ever stayed in.
Far too many mosquitoes to make it, in anyway, enjoyable in the campground!!! I understand it’s nature and beside the river, but even showering in bug spray and having the fire rolling was not enough. Couldn’t enjoy a campfire or even sitting outside! The campground is nice, with a a great pool and some walking trails, just sad it’s impossible to enjoy. We left by 830am the morning after we arrived, despite intending on staying longer. The bathrooms were also filled with mosquitoes. Time to smog! Souris itself was a wonderful quant town which we loved!!
Tent spots are way too close together, literally your neighbors are two feet away , if you value privacy you’ll get ripped off up the wall. Sites are packed together no space in between. What a joke
