Amazing place to swim at. A bit of a drive for sure, but more than worth it when you see the view. There's also a great wharf for jumping into water that moves with the tide! The perfect beach for anyone looking to spend a nice day outside!

Such an AWESOME beach. One of my favourite beaches because it was so beautiful, the sand and water were great, fun bridge to dive off of, etc. Great time with great people.

I can see why this beach ranks #1 in Canada (at least in 2013 I believe). Although the sand didn't 'sing' for us, we still enjoyed our visit to Basin Head. The views from the entrance are really nice. There is a nice boardwalk down to the beach with a couple of sheltered picnic areas along the way. The sand itself is very nice. Soft and clean. Very little debris and weeds. The added safety of lifeguards is nice to have. Although our visit consisted mainly of walking the beach, due to a cooler day, we still enjoyed the sand and scenery. Definitely worth a visit.
