Went into the emergency room this morning in and out in 2 hours. Staff spent most the time there with me . Very impressed with the young lady who handled me . She was very open minded and caring. Thanks to all the staff for such a wonderful job done
This review is NOT related to the Emergency entrance and admitting process - which is a train wreck & embarrassment to the City of London!nNo, this is for all the staff from that point forward... from the friendly porters, to the awesome surgical team & most specifically to the nursing team on B9.nI spent a few days in the hospital over the recent Canada Day long weekend for unplanned / emergency surgery. Not where I wanted to be that weekend for sure!nThere wasn't a single person through that entire process that wasn't friendly, professional and excelling in their job! It was almost a pleasure.nA special shout out to Mackenzie on B9... a nurse who is so generous with her time and patience in ensuring I was always at ease.nAnd a special shout out to Debbie Marshall my porter taking me to the actual surgery, whose wonderful conversation made me forget where she was actually taking me to.
The worse hospital ever. A little about how terribly I was treated at this hospital by the staff and doctors in emergency and all in general. Staff in emergency are very rootless people ever, they don’t care if you’re nearly dying on the floor with pain and not able to walk or stand on your feet. No wheelchair, water being offered to you, but only yelling and mocking is offered to you by the front desk staff and nurses. Sometimes I wonder how they even graduated from healthcare and were offered job as a healthcare worker.nnLong wait even if you’re dying!!nI had to wait over 6 months to get a surgery apt after my apt was cancelled numerous times without being notified from the hospital. I would’ve died long ago back in January if I wasn’t taken to the Kitchener grand river hospital to get my surgery done. Thank to the hospital in Kitchener with their amazing staff and doctors that saved my life and not letting my kids to be orphans.nLondon Victoria hospital, you’re the worst hospital in Ontario I have ever dealt with.
Long wait time but i was sent there for a non medical emergency by shelter that i am staying to get medically cleared because was coughing up blood. So I understand the wait time. Staff is busy and may be a little bit impatient not with me. Overall they are doing the best they can considering the population of London and surrounding area. Hard to complain whennYour homeless and sick and are able to get health care. I am expecting to get overlooked or dismissed due to the nature of my visit I just hope they understand that if I don’t follow shelter rules I can’t stay there, so I’m hoping they don’t treat me rudely for coming in for something I think could have waited.nnUpdate- I was treated fine and they understood why I was there and it turned out I had pneumonia so it was worth going and worth the wait.
