What an amazing experience this was. The fact that you freely roamed around a jungle and see all the wildlife flying around you is truly an unforgettable experience. This was such an amazing experience and I cannot recommend it enough for photographers like myself and for people who love to see wildlife and exotic animals! 10/10 would recommend and go again! Love it.
I've visited the Butterfly garden a few times with my family and friends. The butterflies are so friendly we've had some land on us at each visit! Each visit is as good as the last. I love all the animals in the garden and the display for the phases of the butterfly. As you walk in the garden there are a bunch of tanks with ants, spiders, wood bug, tarantulas, scorpions and so much more to learn about! It's a good warning for anyone entering that the room is very very humid which is understandable. It did take a few of the people I took by surprise though lol!
This is an amazing experience for all ages. The staff are very friendly and the things to see and do are great. I would definitely recommend wearing brightly colored, patterned shirts with the thought that you may get more interaction with the butterflies. There are birds flying free and butterflies everywhere. Fish and turtles. It is an incredible adventure.
First time visiting the Vancouver Islands and this was our first stop on our way to Victoria. As we got in, we had to get the tickets which in my opinion is a bit much for the size of the facility. But what do I know about the effort that goes in in preserving these creatures. We saw about 5 different butterflies, several turtles, koi fishes and parrots. I just loved watching that solo Pink Flamingo . The feel of the gardens which can be covered in 10 minutes is good.
Very cool place! The butterflies were so pretty but that's not all they have there! So interesting, a great place to take curious kids/adults. So very hard not to reach out and touch the critters! Very well laid out. It was a little difficult to navigate for me because I was afraid of stepping on bugs or butterflies that were on the ground.
The Victoria Butterfly Gardens are a magical experience for old and young alike. The butterflies are the star of the Gardens, but the various birds, turtles, tortoises, and fish make it a wonderful experience. The new bug feature is fascinating and instructional. The kids loved it! Word of warning, it is very humid so careful with your cameras and your hair if you intend to go out after! For Victoria residents, I recommend the annual pass, which pays for itself after a couple visits.
I like going here. Great photography. Butterfly's are epic. Love the big zoo.. The price of admission is steep. Not a very big event space between the bugs and butterfly garden. So that much money is questionable.
This place was fascinating, the garden centre Inside was very warm and humid. There were lots of butterflies and many species of birds flying about. Tortoises, a flamingo, iguana, caterpillars, lizards and koi fish are all part of the garden. It's very exciting to see all the different animals and insects inside. The butterflies are so beautiful, and fly around people and may land on you! The birds are really cool to look at and they fly overhead and near people, you may leave with bird feces. This is definitely a great place to pop by when you're in Victoria.
Wonderful place especially on a cold day because of the tropical weather inside. Saw flamingo, parrots, fish and turtles as well as butterflies. At the start there is also a live insect display - learned all about leaf cutting ants while watching them at work. Seasons pass a good choice if you live nearby.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Had a great time there. Lots of species of butterflies and other insects. You can also see some rare and only species of wild insects. Overall wonderful place to visit with kids and family members.
