Positively the best restaurant on Bayview, in Leaside. Verdi offers great friendly service and the most delicious Italian inspired meals in a casual, inconspicuous, little spot in mid town Toronto. We've been several times this summer, and it never fails!! Last night we shared the antipasto which was delicious! The Lamb and Veal with a glass or two of the red house wine were both out of this world and a little tartufo to end the meal was just perfect. See photos! Joanna
These fries are INSANE!!!!! But the people running this place are so wonderful, good people. My husband and I often come here for our date night and it is such a pleasure. We also come here with our son who always has a wonderful time. There’s a cheesy pasta my son likes, but the calamari is also great, I have the steak often which comes on a bed of potatoes with mushrooms and vegetables everything you want. My husband gets the pizza or pasta with meat sauce. Basically, it’s all good! Love this place :
This restaurant is a go-to place for Italian cuisine. We had Milano Pizza, Lemon Chicken and Fettuccine, it was delicious. The food was delicious, the host was very accomodating and humble. All in all a wonderful end to our weekend.
The food was very basic. Lower your expectations if you are ordering from here. Nothing was as advertised. Arugula salad didn’t have any goat cheese or ARUGULA in it. Calamari was undercooked and the breading crumbled when picked up. We have had better frozen pizza. Not trying to be mean just honest for the next person. We will not return.
Blown away by the service here! The lemon chicken was halal and the seafood pasta dish was delicious!!! Very fresh seafood! Coming back to the lemon chicken…. It was divine! The staff were friendly and the ambiance was very Italian... make me feel like I was Florence. Cosy warm and very good vibe! Its a 5 star from me! Love it! Oh and their breakfast is amazing too!!! Highly recommended!!!
Sensational fettuccine! The best I've ever had! The pesto sauce was beyond this world, service was very nice and friendly too. Definitely coming back!
The Tri colore pizza tasted 10x better than the photo looks. Perfectly balanced toppings. The thin crust pizza is perfectly done. Unlike the deep fried elastics you get in some establishments the deep fried calamari were also perfectly done, with just the right amount of batter and cooking time. The service was attentive and we felt welcome. The corner bench seating we got was perfect for anyone over the age of 3 who normally can’t sit still in a chair.
We came in during a snow storm and were literally the only people in the restaurant. We offered to leave so they could close up but they insisted on serving us. Great food and wonderful staff. Very warm and cozy atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Amazing food & presentation , we had pasta, pizza and lamb shank which melts in your mouth. very cozy the staff are very nice and on top of things, the owner is very friendly and such a gentleman. 100% recommended.
We had the penne gorgonzola and the lobster ravioli plus a pizza. All excellent. Taste 5/5 only that the pasta portions are a bit small only half a meal, but the pizza filled us up. I will definitely be back again!Food: 4/5
