Veranda is a home decor and furniture store in the beautiful Muskoka town of Bracebridge. We do custom orders, interior design, and so much more!

Story

More than a decade ago, in the Muskoka town of Huntsville, I began a small store called Veranda to offer a variety of items I’d selected to enhance the appearance of peoples’ homes, indoors and out. Customers told me they liked my Collection because it was not what they could find anywhere else, so I opened up again in Bracebridge in 2014 in the former Odd Fellow's Hall. I have been preserving the space and heritage of the 1904 building, and you have to come see the upstairs, beautifully restored and now called "The Lodge".

You can also book an appointment with us for fabric selection for custom window treatments or cushions, interior design work and consultation, and much more.

While visiting Muskoka (two families) we happened to stop by and browse this store. As the two of us ladies were looking around 2 of our adult kids sat on a sofa, waiting for us to finish. The (white) sales lady came and asked our kids why they were sitting, and said " if you cannot afford a $5000 sofa, you have no right to sit on it" This is completely unacceptable. She is a racist PIG!!! A disgust to the society. It would be better they PUT SIGNS ON THEIR STORE THAT NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SIT ON THEIR FURNITURE AS THEY WAIT. ALSO IF THEY HAVE AN ISSUE WITH NON-WHITE PEOPLE ENTERING THE STORE, THEN THAT SHOULD BE CLEARLY STATED. A DISGUSTING EXPERINCE!!!!!

Two floors of casual cottage chic! I love the bedspreads especially, but other charming items that now cozy up the cottage include candles, a butter dish, a sun hat and carry all bag. Beautiful!

I feel that this store ripped me off.My wife shops here all the time.We are year long residences of Bracebridge.I went into the store yesterday (Nov.5th) I wanted to purchase a new local book called "AT YOUR AGE"I found a copy and went to pay for it.I was charged 17.95 plus taxes it amounted to 20.20 cents.The proceeds for this book I understand is going to the Hospital and other charities.It disturbed me and I called Castlepeak retirement home.The authors of the book all reside here.I was told I could buy the book there for 15.00 with no tax.Since it is a small town store I will eat the extra money....but will never enter this store again,nor will my wife.
