Staying in Melfort and Sheldon from CanAlta hotel recommended the Venice House Pizza restaurant. Murphy’s lounge is where I stopped and ordered a Cesar, then ordered medium all meat with mushrooms. The crust was cooked just right. Lots of toppings and the cheddar and mozzarella mix was baked perfect. They do two for one only with takeout or delivery. Not much more for the extra pizza. Maybe 10 dollars more. Well worth the price. The medium filled me for supper and have half left over for lunch. Service was very good. She acknowledged me right away took me to lounge and took my drink order. Brought drink and took my food order. Before u know it the pizza arrived. New it was going to be one of the better pizzas looking at the cheese being a bit brown. Geez thinking about one more piece after mentioning the greatness of the pizza. Even got a candy cane. This will be a stop when in the area again.
We stopped in for a quick supper and we're not disappointed. We were met at the door and seated very quickly. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Our meal came quite quickly and tasted awesome. The prices a very reasonable and the portions are generous.
Calamari was tough. We couldn't chew it. Didn't even eat half. They gave us fifty percent off, but it should have been no charge. Co worker also ordered wings, which I thought was too much, but good thing he got them. Was the best part of the meal. I had a t bone steak, which was thin and tough. Really.. could barely chew it. Really disappointed. Vegetables were cold. Not even warm enough to melt some butter on them. The bacon bits were tiny pieces of ham, I believe, and they serve the sour cream, bacon bits and chives, as if they could never buy them again. Co worker had new York steak. It was over cooked. Also a big disappointment. Salad was really small, and tomatoes were mushy. I had a similar experience years ago, and hadn't been back since, but it was my co workers birthday, and he wanted to go. He said he had a pizza there a few nights before, and it was really good. If I ever go back, it will be for pizza or pasta. No more 33 dollar steaks that feel like beef jerky, for me. Waitress was nice enough and fairly attentive.
Stopped for a pizza on our way through...pizza was good. Would say awesome but the chunks of onion, green pepper and pineapple were too big. Other than that the crust was fabulous and sauce was very good with lots of cheese
Ordered two pizzas, not much pizza sauce. Most of the toppings were in the middle of the pizza, not evenly distributed. It was weird and unexpected for Venice House.Food: 3/5
I haven't been to Venice house in 15 years, even though the location has changed it's still the same great food. Kids had pizza which was fantastic, possibly the best dough I've had on a pizza. I had Greek ribs which where tender and tasty, possibly the best Greeks ribs I've ever had. The decor isn't 5 star, but the wait staff and food sure are. Would definitely go back when we go through town again.
Eh honestly it wasn't anything special. I had the big bird and the chicken on it was tiny. You would get more chicken at Tims across the street for less money. Fries were the best part in the meal. The old lady's burger wasn't much better. Probably won't go back there.
The best little big restaurant in Melfort. Love it.Food: 5/5
Me and a bunch of other guys have recently paid a visit to this place and it was horrible. It took around 40 minutes to get our drinks and then another 2 hours to get our food. I ordered a cheese pizza and it was absolutely gross. Don’t eat from here it’s brutal
This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We waited for 2 hours for our food that ultimately never arrived and once speaking with the waitress, she informed us that our order wasn't even in progress after two hours. I will never stop here again. The worst experience I've ever had. Might I add that we only ordered pizza, a burger and a lasagna.
