A Corner Cafe

Loved this place for the way they've set it up and that says it all. The experience of letting people walk in, pick up a board game among so many options and just relax, chat, catch up with friends while ordering food. They've got it right for a chill- spot cafe and this includes the eclectic ambience!! So Thank you for that! Great place to catch up with friends, their food menu is really good with a bunch of options catering to the sweet and savoury and comfort food tooth. Servers are really polite and helpful. They actually tell you if something you've ordered would take time. And I kind of like that knowing how soon I can expect my food to be at my table. Go check this place out, grab some food and beverage while you're working with a laptop or play a board game or two if you're with friends. Ordered their Fried chicken Benny, Vietnamese coffee hot & cold made with condensed milk and Oreo waffles. All food portions are shareable for two. They do have loads of options.. And I'm coming back to try the stuff I've shortlisted for next time.

Great place to hang out!! Many new board games. Food, dessert, drinks are just average but i didn’t mind so much because this place seemed more like a social gathering place with games than a chef quality restaurant. I appreciated their game selection a lot. They had many games that we play in different or newer versions!! Will return to play them again. Can you also get Azul too? Management and service need a bit of improvement. Staff was little rude. He took a wrong drink order and i understood because we were 7ppl. However when i came to him they are so busy no one really checked on us unless we went to the counter to correct with the wrong drink he started urging with me and resisted of correcting the order and claimed it was my fault loll

The place is nice. Food fresh and tasty. I had a cortado coffee which was perfect and a Smoked salmon Bennie which was good. The waiters were welcoming, but not experienced. One promised to exchange cooked veggies for greens for my friend but the dish had common amount of greens, just no veggies and for the same price. The other waiter made a mistake in a cheque two dollars more than it should be. I don’t think she meant it. I’m just warning to double-check your bill. I will come here again.

I'm going to chalk it up to kinks they need to work out in their first few months of opening. We also came at the busiest time of the day. I can see it potentially being a nice place for people to hang out not just for a good meal but to play some games. Service definitely needs improvement - need more servers on hand during peak times. There was only one managing 15-20 tables and she was not the most attentive. She often forgot orders and we saw many pushed out and sent back. I ordered an Americano which came out 30min later as we were thinking of leaving. The man at the front desk was however super nice and accommodating. The games are new and plenty. Maybe come when it's less busy.

I've been a fan of A Corner Cafe since they opened their Markham location a few years back, having a second location in North York makes it so much more convenient for me to frequently get my favourites. The new location is spacious with plenty of seating, they also have lots of brand new board games which makes it a perfect hang out spot for groups of friends to have a great time and eat delicious food together. For food I would recommend their spinach mushroom pasta and chicken + waffles. As for drinks I still have yet to try all the drinks as it looks like they've expanded their menu, but I tried the matcha latte and really liked it. I'll definitely be back!!

Nice spot to hang and play board games with friends. Decent selection of drinks and food.

Decided to have dessert before dinner today. We were not disappointed. It was so fresh and delicious. Love the atmosphere. My kids had a great time as well. Love the boardgames. Very welcoming.

Went for brunch, very happy with the quality of the food. Everything made to order, real whipped cream on the desserts, large variety of items. Everything ordered was delicious. Their espresso is really excellent. Bright, clean and rich. Highly recommended for espresso drinkers in the neighborhood to check this place out. Also great to have a place in the neighborhood with early opening hours so we can get brunch in the morning!

Ordered a French toast with mango ice cream, and a cappuccino, both delicious. Love their board game selection too.

Nice space and vibe. We ordered a chicken waffle and spaghetti. The waffle is a bit over cooked where you will taste “burn” in every bite. The chicken in both waffle and spaghetti is tender.
