Like others, I was left shocked by Steven and his office. Initially, it was a lack of communicating with me such as when things were due and how payment was taken and items were picked up, etc. I was a new client and had no way of knowing. When I went to pick up my taxes the front desk help was trying to get me to sign something to file my taxes, when I was extending them. The whole office seemed confused and disorganized. Then I received a shocking e-mail when I respectefully questioned some of this and had a question on taxes and payments. He fired me saying I didn't understand taxes (yes, if we all understood taxes to a professional level, we wouldn't use tax services) and wrote a horrible degrading, rude, and unprofessional e-mail. The e-mail leaves you questioning whether he is sane, sexist, and how he sustains a business (though he will be happy to tell you and include how many clients he does have and how successful he is). It is not normal for a small business CPA to even have this many reviews let alone negative ones. I was so concerned about this, just in case I had someone check my taxes after I already paid Steven. Most of it was correct but there was one error that saved me a bit of money. This was needed after losing money on having to pay Steven . I would stay away.

Extremely unprofessional and lacking in any sense of customer service. I’d previously contacted Leslie for help with a simple job. We went over everything via phone and she let me know she’d moved to Vanguard. Eventually Steven was added into our conversations. I answered every question he asked and provided everything he needed promptly via the portal on the website, which he and Leslie confirmed they’d received. I had to reiterate what I needed each time we corresponded; again, after I’d already explained everything to Leslie. He provided no additional instructions and his reply indicated he hadn’t actually done the work he said he was doing. He also suddenly revealed that Leslie wasn’t working on my account all. He also had the audacity to frame our conversation like he was doing me a favor—I’m a (former) client and I don’t set the prices. If he’s only “breaking even” he needs to re-evaluate his pricing model. I sent him documents via the site per the instructions on the site. Later he invited me to make a second account, sharing no instructions on what action I needed to take. In this different portal, there was no option to review any work that had been done or even review an invoice to pay. I had no instructions on what he needed from me at this point. When I politely pointed this out and asked for clarity so we could move forward, he fired me as a client. I’m not able to read minds and I still have no idea what the hold-up was. Now, I’m left with the short end of the stick just weeks before taxes are due. Take your money elsewhere. This accountant is as unprofessional and unreliable as it gets.

If you want to do business with these CPA's in person, you are out of luck! They have 3 offices in the metro area yet are not in their offices to meet with them. dropping off your valuable tax info to a receptionist is disconcerting

The website has a link for free consultation. When I requested a consultation to move my business payroll and taxes to their company they wanted a $150 up front payment to consult with them. I explained I didn't want to pay to see if I was willing to use their services. They stated that an up front consulting fee was required to find out... I guess "free consultation" didn't really mean free...

Used them for my business taxes. Always saves me money. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews, Steven is great.
