The new location for the WPG branch of VPL looks better especially the row of washrooms which are very convenient
I can’t say enough good things about this location. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The library is very clean and organized. I have seen the staff interact with the kids that come in and they are nothing short of amazing! I feel so fortunate to have this space in the neighbourhood.
Not very big, so it feels more like a bookshop than a library - which is actually kinda refreshing, and also means material is more accessible. It also helps that the books and materials are well curated. However, this is not the best place for serious work which requires concentration, or for peace and quiet. The children section is right next to the work stations, and a few members of the staff are quite loud. So it's generally noisy.
Helpful staff and lovely book selection! Good place to relax after a long day.
The West Point Grey Branch was my family's long time local library and I can't say enough about how great it is. It's a small location so compared to others it might not have as much on hand but since the VPL has such a fantastic website and request options we never had an issue. They do programs for young children such as story times that we both regularly attended and enjoyed.
