Vancouver Central depot return-it

It is okay. There are most likely better return depot areas than this one. It extremely has a heavy odour of used bottles and garbage. If you struggle with this, I will not recommend to come here. One thing I find interesting is they take a few cents off some of the bottles, which is quite interesting, and it does not seem to make sense. Less amount of carts and crates, and everything is poor hygiene, and staff looks overworked. Recommend and do not recommend, depends on you.

I always like recycling, however coming to this place definitely doesn’t encourage one to recycle. There are only a few carts. The Floors I have never found sticky in other recycling locations but this location is very sticky. Full of wasps wasp traps are not hard to makeService is slow, they are stickler for bottle cap removal. Never coming here again.

Responsible workers are not easy to find - but this place is objectively the lowest rated recycling place in Vancouver. Nobody rigged the ratings here. Gave this place a visit - now I know why.

As with others, short changed on my return refund amount. All cans, but they replied to my email asking about it with comments about glass and refillable bottles, which there were none in my bags. They short changed me about 35%. Won't be using this location any more.

Only had one incident that I felt cheated .buddy didn't count 2 of my flats I know they missed. He tried to call me out knowing I couldn't tell him how many I had altogether, I thought it was pretty low to rip me off of for a couple of bucks..but $2 off all the people coming thru could add up to some $1-$200 one day.But other than that one time, All good.nice folks,decent, and seemingly honest.

Alrighty, listen. If you are a penny pincher who really, REALLY, R E A L L Y, cannot live with the fact that they take off a few cents per can or bottle, don’t come here. This is not for you. If you’re like me, and you want to recycle and do your part for the environment without having to go through sticky cans and without having to suffer through the weird used bottle smell, COME HERE. tl;dr if 5 cents is gonna break your back, don’t come here.

I used to be here for recycling and bottle refunding. But the staff in this station suddenly did not accept foam containers one day without giving any reason. Yet the RecycleBC app still marks it as taking form containers. Moreover, this station is always full of people and needs to queue long before you can finally receive your refunds. I am now going to the one in Metrotown instead.

Had a great experience the first time I did express drop off but I recently went again with 6 bags and only 4 bags were accounted for. It has been over 2 weeks and I specifically put a certain number of cans/bottles in each bag and saw that it was shorted when the summary came into my express account. Now I'm short 2 full bags and missing bottles/cans. Huge rip off. Go to another location if possible.

Much like many others, I feel like I was not credited for the correct amount. I have noticed over the times I have visited that the staff has changed. I didn't have issues before. I dropped off 6 bags at the express area and received about $100. I dropped off 5 bags a few months later at a different location because their label machine was STILL broken and received $120, for less bags! I usually average about $20/bag. Clearly something fishy going on at this particular location.

this place is worst, I have been drop off my bags many times to this location, overall they short paid me 6.5%, I believe that they don't pay full amount of bottles, and I have experienced they lost my bags, two times so far, I have contacted them and take long time to get estimate refund. The peoples there not friendly not answer any question not even talk to you.
