Excellent service. Prices and quotes are always provided ahead of time. My laptop was fixed over a holiday long weekend, well appreciated. Was welcomingly surprised there was no retainer or upfront charges to fix my laptop. Some other repair companies require a minimum $200 upfront fee, The Hackery is very fair with prices and service

My business has been using The Hackery, off and on for the last 10 years. I can always count on them to have a part that is needed right away, when I can't wait for Amazon. They also have the occasional rare and hard to find component to keep older systems running, because sometimes a client would rather fix than upgrade. I want to update this review to mention that the business is under new ownership, and that the level of service, professionalism, care and attention has improved significantly.

The absolute BEST place to have your computer repaired. The amazing staff here ALWAYS exceed my expectations.
Really great customer service. They helped me order the part required and then installed it for me. Saved me a lot of money compared to going to other repair services. They also disposed of the old battery for me. Location was easy to get to by transit and staff were super friendly. Highly recommend checking this place out if you need laptop help.
I've only been here twice, but the experience was overwhelmingly positive. My venerable MacBookPro mid 2010 had a failed battery, and after a short consultation in-store and subsequent wait of a little over a week, I received a call indicating it was ready for pickup -- good as new! Cost for parts and labor was very reasonable as well. If you need a pc or laptop fixed, or a good deal on some used low-cost components, I'd give these folks a shot. An easy recommendation.
the guys here are extremely professional and helpful- the diagnosis is free and their pricing is so reasonable! saved me a ridiculous amount of money and managed to improve my ancient macbook. highly recommend.
They repair computers super quick. I was told that it would take 5 days+ to repair my laptop, but they managed to finish it in 3 days, fixing all internal issues. It is a little expensive, but then again, aren't all electronics, particularly when it comes to computers?
