What’s the propose of installing self checkout to always keep a minimum of them open and to have the staff always breathing on your neck while you are scanning the item. At some point you have a line of 10 people and even then they don’t open the other self checkouts, it’s ridiculous and I’ve never felt so uncomfortable as in this store with the staff always looking and sneaking up on everyone at the self checkouts like everyone is a thief! If you don’t trust people or the self checkouts don’t work for you, get back the old system but to keep only half of the self checkouts open in a regular basis and to have staff not respecting personal space it’s a big no no!
I have been to this Value Village 3 or 4 times now. They are not so close to me, but honestly, it is been by far the best value village I have been so far. And believe me, I have been in many, and in different cities around Ontario.nnThey have a big space for adult stuff as well as shoes and bags. It seems to me to be cleaner than other Value Villages.nnThere is plenty of parking since it is located in a plaza.nnAnd I notice it seems to make a difference to arrive there in the morning.nnTheir mirror are small though specially if you are tall which is my case. And there are no more fitting rooms sadly. Still, worthy passing by. I recommend.nnHaven’t gone with friends yet, so I’m not sure how good it is for women, but I plan to soon. Will come back to update the review if there is interest from the public.
They often overpriced items more than the retailer originally priced them and they are usually very highly previously used items with lots of wear and tear, it is very grungy looking and it smells very musty/mildewy, there's little to no attempts to genuinely take care of the location, very few staff members on at any given time, the self-checkouts almost never seems to be on except for maybe one or two, add some effort to get a cashier to the front. However the guy assisting with the one or two machines that are on they're usually pretty good. I have nothing really positive to say about this Value Village.
Must visit place if you want to donate any of the items - clothing , footwear , electronics anything . You get a coupon once you donate any of the items - either 20% or 30% off .nThe prices if you see aren’t high though . Some of the items i found were brand new . They do have variety of books if you love reading .
If you are saving and looking for something good to buy, try to visit here. Goods from apparels to simple house appliances are pretty cheap here but they are in good condition if not, maybe a simple repair will do. That’s because they came from donations. You save your money by buying things from here so you get to help charities they are supporting.nnDonate things you don’t need anymore or buy the things you need and help. That’s it.
