Went there to look for something for a friend. The aisles we spaced apart better than most places. And it didn't smell as bad as some. There is a restroom. But I had to take stars off because we noticed many items being sold for double what they cost brand new! And we really dislike that they only have self checkout machines. It means there is no contact with people. Not a friendly feeling place to shop. We spend less time there because of that.
It is absolutely disappointing to see the prices of DONATED items. Racks would be so much easier to sort through, the same goes for shelves - If this SECOND HAND store was priced accordingly... not even the poor can afford to buy second hand.
I enjoyed a short shopping trip there last night, staff were kind and helpful..I'm sorry, but your prices have gotten out of hand. I understand the costs of running a business and employees must be paid. But really dresses not even named brand with $20 + tags & Denim over $30 a pair? Ouch! I'm looking to bargain hunt, not go broke.
One of the few places I went in as a new immigrant back in 2018, and still in my go-to list of places for cheap clothes. If buying second hand items is no big deal to you then you might like this place as well. Lots of clothes for the family, household items, electronic stuff, bags, shoes, and more. They offer rewards/discounts to regular patrons, spacious parking lot, and friendly staff. Family just went to look for a black trench coat or blazer for my son's grad pic and we found one, and more paid $242 for 23 items, average of $10.50 each.. great buy and value for money.
I don't love their deceptive business model which dupes customers into believing they're supporting charity. I strongly dislike that they have installed those godforsaken self-checkouts. I don't work for you. Pay the people who do work for you a liveable wage rather than utilize your customers for free labour. But I do like that thrifting keeps tons of fabric out of landfills. And all international companies suck pretty hard so ¯__/¯
