Greatest reality place I have dealt with thus far. Easy process getting us in and took care of us when things required maintenance. Been with them now 2 years and just went through another renewal of lease process and Krystal went over and beyond for us and continuously makes this process easy and always eliminates additional stress during these times. She worked with our amazing landlord and got us setup great during these hard times and market. We are full of gratitude towards Kystal, our landlord and this reality office. Highly recommend!!
This "review" pertains mostly to a Realtor working there named Sue Sessions. Somehow, she was able to find that a loved one of mine was in the hospital for about a month back in March. I have never met this woman, nor has anyone in my family During that time, she sent a letter to this persons house saying sorry about the hospital visit, but that she would be willing to help us sell the house?! How wrong is that?! We did call her and addressed the issue, asking how she even found out and of course she wouldn't tell! Fast forward a few months, this same loved one of ours has passed. Not even a WEEK after the passing, we receive ANOTHER letter saying, "sorry for the passing BUT I want to sell this house" This is absolutely disturbing, violating, and unprofessional.
My mother was looking for a house to rent as the owner of the current house she is renting will be putting the house on the market August 1st. There is not a lot out there for inventory. I spoke with Krystal from Valley Realty and she said she would let me know if anything came up. Meanwhile my mother was a wreck that she couldn't find a place to live. Fast forward a week and Krystal called about a house that was going to be coming up as the current tenant was moving out soon. Christine showed us the house today even though it hadn't been cleaned etc. and my mother decided to take it. Krystal is a rock star!!!
I filled 2 applications for a rental and heard nothing. I did get to speak to the person that manages the rentals however she indicated that there were 18 applications ahead of me to process. I felt like a number and not a person with a good income that can actually pay my rent. Just another bad experience
Called them up because they are managing a property I was interested in purchasing and the lady on the phone blatantly told me that even if her clients wanted to sell, she would actively encourage them not to, because she would lose money for her business. When I confronted her and asked "wait a minute, isn't your job to be helpful to your clients?" she told me that she would never help me buy one of the properties because her interests are more important than her clients. Mind you she wouldn't even give her name to me to introduce herself, she was that rude. Very unfortunate phone call and considering I purchased several properties in Carson City alone last year and have some more coming in this year, I will NEVER use them for my rental properties or recommend them to anyone I know.
So disappointed in this place. Valley Realty has been by far the worst experience with attempting to find a rental that I have ever had. Joy was very rude and unprofessional. They will take your money $35 each adultfor a background/credit check and then deny your application for student loan debt that I was assured wouldn't be counted against me. To top it off they run a hard inquiry on your credit so after being denied it effects your credit score. Upon being denied they stop answering phone calls or even returning the calls to inform of anything. Got a letter in the mail a week later. Extremely inconsiderate. Complete waste of my time and my money. Joy reprimanded me for mistakes that were made by other employees in their office like I was her employee or something. Extremely unprofessional and poor customer service skills. Words of advice: Avoid this place if at all possible!!!!
Decimals matter! Late on a long holiday weekend I was entering a regular monthly payment when I noticed I had neglected to add a decimal in my entry. I went to hit the [[back]] button and my finger accidentally hit the [[Go]] button and submitted an $8,888.00 payment - waaaay more than I was planning. I called the after hours number for Valley Realty and left a panicked message letting them know what happened. I received a call back from Daneill sp? and she assured me they would not charge any fees and would wait for my bank to work their Stop Pay magic when they opened for business the following Monday. My bank took care of the booboo and I want to give a huge thank you to Krystal, Daneill and the whole Valley Realty team for working with me and my bank. Decimals truly matter and can definitely make a difference!
