Valentine Plumbing & Sewer Company

I called Valentine Plumbing & Sewer and Tom Bowman answered after 9:00pm. My garbage disposal wasn't working (heard the motor running, but nothing went down, and the water bubbled back up into the right side of my sink). So I asked what a clogged garbage disposal repair might cost, or if worse, what it would cost to replace. Before quoting me prices he instructed me on how to use the allen wrench that came with the garbage disposal to manually try to unclog it first, and to call him back if this didn't work. I followed his simple instructions, and unclogged the garbage disposal myself--saving me a plumbing bill! I know that Valentine Plumbing lost a possible job, but it would have been an unnecessary job since it was just a clog I could fix myself. I SO appreciated his suggestion and instructions over the phone. I had called about a dozen plumbers before I called Valentine Plumbing and not one asked me if I knew how to unclog the garbage disposal or told me how to unclog it myself. I will DEFINITELY call Valentine Plumbing (in South Elgin) again if I need a plumber, and definitely would recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber. Thank you Tom and Valentine Plumbing!
