Wow! What a great find in Leslieville. First time here tonight, they had a special for an entrée and pint for 18$. That deal would be good anywhere these days, but the quality of food was amazing! We had the curry pad Thai and curry chicken with rice, both outstanding. Kudos to chef and servers were great and attentive, good selection for drinks. Will absolutely be back. Forgot to mention the jerk wings - yum! Thanks
This place is SO SO good and I can not believe it's not more popular than it is. With this pandemic, I had been seeking local businesses to support for take out. I found this place on Skip the Dishes and was surprised all the main dishes were around $12. They have some delicious Asian and also Canadian mains like crispy chow mein my favourite, pad thai, fried rice, linguine, cheeseburgers, curry chicken and more. They also have amazing and cheap appetizers like avocado salad another fav of mine, wonton soup, fried dumplings, spring rolls, french fries and more for under $10! If you order take out by calling, you get a discount too. I will definitely keep ordering delicious food from here ^_^
They have some good beer on tap. I recommend the Amsterdam Boneshaker IPA. Their rum and coke was nothing to write home about. Their fried dumplings appetizer was delicious albeit a bit small. The fajitas was excellent. Crispy chow mein was a bit too oily. The waiters were attentive and nice.
I've been waiting for this place to open up and had such high hope that it would be our new favourite brunch spot, and maybe we set our expectations too high. First, they don't really have a "brunch" menu, they serve all day breakfast so there are maybe 3 items that would qualify as brunch. Pictures of menu below taken Oct 2017 - menu might change over time. Second, food came out and there were french fries on our plate - we were hoping it would be home fries or even tater tots. Not a deal breaker but just a bit odd. We also got a side salad yay! however it was drenched in an Asian-style dressing and too many different flavours on the same plate jam, ketchup, eggs, salad with ginger-sesame dressing - flavour overload. Third, they charge for coffee refills. I don't have a problem with this when it's included with the meal, or if the cup more like a mug, or if it's an americano; but to pay $1.75 for an ikea-size cup and then $1 for refill is a bit much. Especially since it's your standard drip coffee. I'd rather they charge me $2.50 and give me unlimited refills. However, my veggie omelette was LOADED with all types of veggies, I was really happy about that! And the service was great. Prices are really reasonable across the entire menu, so it's definitely worth checking out. I'm going to come back for dinner, maybe it's not a great brunch place but there could be potential for it to be a cheap and cheerful dinner spot.
A big no if you are a vegetarian. Their fried dumplings appetizer was delicious. It’s a nice place and the staff was really friendly.
I have had the best time with the most professional bartender! Her name is Amanda, she is always courteous and prompt with her service, the bar tone is set with her great choices in music and the vibe of the bar seems so welcoming! If you go to the Urban Amanda is the only bartender to be served by! First class act who is a true professional! This lady is an asset to the Urban best time will be had by you and your guests! She is a 10 plus! Truly a people person who is the most professional I’ve had the pleasure of being served by!
We have a good time here. The environment is very chill, very warm and cozy. We can talk and enjoy the food. The staffs are very friendly and the service is fast. Ah the price is so reasonable compared to other bar that we went. Will definitely come back.
The first time I ate here I had the chicken schnitzel sandwich. It was a little greasy for me, but still delicious and very flavourful. Tonight I got the shrimp linguine in a rosé sauce and it’s phenomenal. Super fresh, loaded with veggies and again very flavourful. The service here is down-to-earth and friendly and the prices are great.
About a week ago me and a friend decided to come by for a couple drinks and dinner after work. What we thought would be a good experience off the looks of the place we were fast to find out we were wrong..with almost nobody else in the place I cannot believe for 2 orders of wings and fries we would be waiting 40 minutes!! And not only the wait. The wings were so fat and chewy we actually decided to take the food to go to reheat ourselves at home. But hey at least the beer was cold … kinda ?? WAY BETTER PLACES ON QUEEN STREET !!! Only reason I’m giving this place any stars is because of our young blonde server. With her bubbly personality and sense of humour she’s guaranteed the only reason this place stays open.
It is mine and my wife's first time in Toronto and we found this place using Google. As soon as we walked in I knew it was going to be delicious. All of the menu options were very fairly priced and the server/bartender was amazing. I asked for a beer recommendation and after a few questions from him, he had me drinking a wonderful IPA. Also being out of towners, we had a couple of questions about how certain things work in the city and he was patient with us and explained all we needed to know. I want to give him a shout out but I didn't catch his name, only that he was from Ireland. Great job man!
