I've always been treated very kindly and have been served very well when I've needed to come to the customer service center. They always have put a good genuine effort into locating a package or accepting a return and being helpful. I really don't see how so many people could mark it as one star unless they are emotionally rating the place, based on unmanaged expectations and a loose grasp on reality.

I ordered my package on Cyber Monday with Amazon Prime. My package has been sitting in this UPS warehouse for the past few days. I got an update from amazon that a Carrier Delay has occurred. I thought to myself, it is the holidays, maybe the package will come tomorrow? I got an update that it was out for delivery only to be notified half way through the day that a Carrier delay has occurred (again). When I called today to ask if I could come in to get my package, the lady said that they are experiencing a seasonal increase in packages and that the reason I could not get my package is because it hasn't even made it off the truck that it had shipped into town on and is not in their warehouse. I understand that Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas are a busy time for the package industry, but for god sake, Black Friday and Cyber Monday have been going on for as long as I can remember and companies should be adjusted by now. First off, don't send people updates that their package is out for delivery if it is not on a delivery Truck. It is better to be honest than to send out false updates only to upset the recipient. Second, Technology has gotten better so that should not be an issue as far as package sorting goes. If that is the issue, maybe it is time to put UPS Corporate to work and upgrade the electronic systems. Due to the package not making it off the truck yet (to be sorted and sent out) this causes me to believe that it is either a shortage in warehouse space or a shortage in employees. Get a better facility if needed and take a page out of Spirit's book (the Halloween store) and hire an army of seasonal workers to get the job done quickly. A few days does not seem like a big deal, and really in the grand scheme of things, it isn't, but with technology nowadays and a key factor of success in the packaging industry being SPEED and Handling, this is sub-par. Since UPS does not see it fit to adapt with the times, maybe it would be best to outsource some of their load to FedEx or even the USPS who seem to handle these situations much better. I was guaranteed, over the phone with the customer center, that the package would arrive tomorrow... we shall see... Revised: Well my package didn't arrive by the guaranteed date of delivery (as described by the woman on the phone there) and now UPS is closed for the weekend. THANK YOU FOR CAUSING ME TO NOT HAVE MY PACKAGE HELD THERE YESTERDAY (FRIDAY) BECAUSE YOU PROMISED IT WOULD ARRIVE ON FRIDAY!!!! PLEASE amazon, use FedEx or USPS in the Maple Grove area. Revised, again: I updated the stars from 1 to 2 stars on account for the fact that they delivered my package on Saturday, when the facility is closed. They still missed the guaranteed delivery date, 3 days after the package arrived at the warehouse, but at least they made up for it by not making me wait until Monday.

The Worst for Next Day Delivery. My pharmacy sent out a prescription next day delivery that I urgently needed the next day or I would end up in the hospital. It was checked in at Maple Grove at 8:13am the day it was supposed to be delivered guaranteed by 12:00pm. They never delivered. I called customer service and at first they tried to tell me that the pharmacy never sent the package. When I asked them why it said it was sitting at the Maple Grove distribution center they couldn't answer and stated since they were closed there was nothing they could do. My husband then called and then they stated that it was at Maple Grove and that they had no idea why it wasn't delivered, but since they were closed on Sunday there was nothing they could do. So now I have been two days without my medicine and am seriously sick and they really don't care.

I used the UPS in Maple Grove, MN for shipping my company's holiday client gifts. Each time I went in there they have been extremely helpful -- letting me know what packaging I needed to get in order to ship out specialty items and their customer service was above and beyond what I expected. I will for sure be shipping with them again!

The young gentleman who assisted me was very pleasant, friendly and customer oriented-it's difficult to build rapport in a short transaction and he was able to not only do it, but was able to do it well. Great service!
