AAA Movers Minneapolis

I have used AAA for 3 separate moves, and have been extremely impressed every time. The crew is courteous, professional, and conscientious. They had some logistical issues with our move, but sailed through without a hitch that we were aware of. Terrific "Can do" attitude! They made sure everything was perfect before they left. Tim is a great crew leader. I highly recommend AAA Movers!

I hired AAA Movers for moving from a 1-Bedroom apartment to a House. The drivers arrived at the very end of the window that was given for moving (8-10am, they arrived at 9:55am). The drivers greeted me with an already sour attitude and made me feel uncomfortable for not having secured parking, which the rep I had spoken to over the phone at AAA had ever told me to do. I realized these drivers were contractors and did not have any incentive at customer service so I called AAA to see how to make it right. The stance was immediately taken that this was something I should have known and that the truck was simply too big to park on the city street, which I was not arguing. If the drivers had arrived at the beginning of the window there was ample parking (I was assured that the drivers had no other job scheduled the rest of the day, so this was the first and last of the day). I was directed to talk to the dispatcher, which I should have never had to do as a customer. I had talked to the building management who suggested they could temporarily park by the 'No Parking' street sign where there was room for the truck. The dispatcher said they refused to do so. The movers left and I was told by AAA that they would probably 'ding' me for their minimum fee of $300 for what amounted to zero work and nothing but blame-shifting. Not one person took the initiative to offer a proper solution. I was told a supervisor would be in touch with me the day of the incident but I had to call back more than 24-hours later to get to speak to a Customer Service representative who suggested that if I wanted to hire them again that I hire an 'Uber' to park and secure street parking. Nope, that is not an acceptable solution. The City of Minneapolis does not enforce temporary 'No Parking' signs for moving on city streets so if I had bought those signs at the hardware store (which the City itself suggested) then if someone had parked on the street, the company told me they would definitely charge me the minimum $300 if they couldn't park their truck again, and then service would be denied yet again. It was basically a gamble that I had zero control over. I don't have a car to do what they were suggesting and it was unreasonable for them to put the onus on me when I was clearly paying for their supposedly professional service. Instead of charging me the full minimum $300, the Customer Service rep told me they graciously only charged me $75 to cover the gas for the truck that came out (and did no other work for the rest of the day). After the deposit of $50 and the $75 for the gas, I have lost $125 to a company which did nothing but make me feel stupid for not having what they told me was "common sense". I was nothing but calm for all phone calls. I also lost a day of PTO from work that I had taken to facilitate the move. They refused to wave the $75 for the gas or apply the $50 deposit towards this gas fee. I got nothing from them and if I didn't pay this invoice, they would eventually send it to collections and it would ruin my credit. I do not recommend this service. I'm extremely disappointed and dissatisfied.

The move team was great. I'd give them 5 stars. They did a great job keeping the snow off our white carpeting as well as efficient. The quote I was give however was not close to accurate. Also they were supposed to come to the house before the move to assess the overall scale of the move and never showed. They end cost was over by 35%. I'd recommend them with the caveat that you do not hire until they do an on site assessment of your needs.

Mike and George (moving crew) were amazing! Efficient and extremely careful with our items. They didn't ding or hit any walls in our old home or new home. Couldn't have asked for a better crew. Would recommend AAA movers to anyone without hesitation.

My entire experience was wonderful. And MOVERS Nick and Tim are very young but they were professional, kind and respectful. Wish more young folks were raised right! Thank you! I will pass on AAA info when needed.
