This school board does not care about the safety of their students. The roads are extremely slippery today and they don't cancel anything. No matter how much it snows there's never any snow days! Whoever controls it is insane!
I have left messages, and emailed with no calls or emails back. My child is being bullied relentlessly, and nobody wants to help or do anything about it. This school board is a joke!
If you want to know your kid is going to get bullied non stop with absolutely nothing done about it and a school board that doesn’t believe in answering the phones
UPDATE JUNE 26, 2024: Why has this school board allowed the staff at Princess Elizabeth Public School to force the Grade 8 students to move students' desks in the rooms in preparation for the end of the school year? During the last week of school, without even having desks to sit on in Grade 8, surely the teachers could have come up with interesting lessons for the students instead of forcing them into manual labour! Child labour. That's terrible! My grandson in Grade 8 informed me about what they were doing and I am absolutely shocked. What if he and the other students hurt themselves in doing this manual work that they aren't used to doing that should really be done by custodial staff? Shame on you at the school board and at PEPS for allowing this to happen!nnPREVIOUSLY IN 2023: For the past two or more years, my grandson has not had any school textbooks from which to learn his lessons. Instead, the teachers have relied on online information or handing out limited paperwork for the students to work on and study. Repetition breeds learning and, by learning from textbooks and being able to keep reading the lessons, it would reinforce the educational lessons all the more.nnThat's how it was done when my daughter was in school and when I was in school many years ago. I don't see how the current method is an improvement in teaching children. It relies too much on the teachers being excellent and that is not always the case. As an example, there have been times when my daughter has emailed the teachers to ask for schedules for tests, etc., and has received no replies at all.nnFor any child who has a learning disability, the use of a textbook to read and study from would be a much better method than what is currently taking place in the schools.nnI am so upset about this situation and wish for improvement.
Over the past 8 years we have seen several new staff and changes to the staff all in which keep getting worse. There is no consistence in the class room for the kids, and the principals have no people skills. It's as if the school board is putting bullies in the principals seats. They think the can just order children around instead of guiding children to do the right choices The principals are so easy to suspend children rather then asking help from the parents.nAnd when confronted by a parent they either hang up the phone or demand you to leave the school.nThen when the super intent of the school is brought an issue they have the assistant try and make dissions on there behalf. Not professional at all the turn over rate is absolutely disgraceful.
