Mary Phelan Catholic School

Not sure where the low reviews are coming from. This is a wonderful small community school. My son has loved every teacher he has had the pleasure of having and as a result loves school. Every teacher we have encountered at this school loves the children and loves teaching. The principal and secretary are wonderful and easy to get along with. We personally love that it is a small school, as it creates more of a community feeling and is not overwhelming for the young children. We also love that the school involves the children in things like announcements, classroom buddies etc...helps create an atmosphere of belonging and responsibility for the children. We would recommend this school to anyone! Keep up the great work Mary Phelan staff!

For the 7 years I had gone to school there I had the usual problems as a developing young adult would have but did serve the community in Grade Five as Lieutenant of the School Safety Patrol and was Captain of the Patrol in Grade Six. I remember having problems staying awake at times but the vibrancy of the classes and chemistry of the students were well mitred and metered - even in the days before Social Media. I have gone on to achieve a Baccalaureate and this was one of my better beginnings. All the more power to the Elementary Board in the present day and best wishes to my old school and home town of Guelph - The Royal City. - Bradley James Aaron Finlay

The kids there are just too aggressive when it comes to sports.
