Upon moving to Campbell River in 2015 I decided to take some time off from finding work to spend time with my parents who I had lived away from for almost 20 years. With time on my hands and my father being diabetic and someone who loves his desserts, I started to create new treats for him instead of him turning to sugar filled sweets. Now, my work experience is industry, which is almost non existent on the island, and finding work proved to be very difficult. Because this lead to even more time on my hands, the more I started to experiment with recipes. Finally I figured I would try my hand at opening a business where I could provide more of a dessert option for all diabetics or those who want to reduce sugar in their diet. Knowing that many of the sugar free chocolates or other desserts are made with maltitol, which causes digestive upset, I wanted to provide people with sugar free and NO digestive upset.
