I'd say I visit this location anywhere from four to ten times per month. I find them incredibly consistent at providing incredibly poor service. eg. At 4p one evening I walked in to find two female employees, each at their separate windows. One employee [manager: short, curly, platinum blonde] is helping a customer while the other employee is sitting at her vacant window, telling the manager a NSFW story. The lobby, consisting of myself and another person in line, in front of me, is unwillingly eavesdropping on the uncomfortable story. It's otherwise silent until another customer enters and joins the line. "C'MON GUYS, I'VE BEEN HERE ALL DAY" the busy manager shouts at the newest customer in line. At 4p. To patient, silent customers. Spontaneously. While her employee plays possum, quietly regaling her with her tales of weekend gallivants. -Oh, and go early. Close is 5:30p but might as well shoot for 5:00p. These ladies (regardless of whoever is on) wait for none.

You really don't want me to write what I think of the service. First off it would be nice to call their and not get a busy signal for hours on end and days on end. When I called one post office they send me to another. This post office has been holding a time sensitive package for over a week. It was sent certified and yet no one can tell me where it is? Piss poor service, good thing for email. Glad the post office is loosing business, you deserve it! You get what you give.

I never considered reviewing a post office until I saw the negative reviews here. Frankly, I am astonished. I've always had great service at the Stoneham post office. My only complaint is the occasional long lines at busy times or holidays. I get around this by avoiding peak times.

This place is disaster! I moved here from Arlington, where I was very happy with my post office and my mailman.... Here is nothing but frustration! I work from home everyday and yet when package delivered they don't ring doorbell, they leave me a note, so I have to drop all work and go to post office to pick it up! Not once, not twice - constantly! Stuff at the post office is very UNfriendly, most unfriendly I even encounter at the post office. And if you try to call them for anything, you are not likely to get an answer, because nobody picks up the phone. I'm trying to reach a postmaster and if I can't, I will complain above! This is unacceptable...

I have to call everyday for a week about a lost package because I never received the call back the next day for each call. By Friday they finally told me that they had no idea where it was, and because someone logged it in their system as sent to me I could not get a refund for their mistake. I was actually told to wait by my mailbox all Saturday to catch my mailman to make him open my neighbors boxes to make sure it was not in there.
