Two years in a row, I bought my daughter a new bike from this location. Both times they did such a poor job puttingnit together that it was loose and falling apart. I mentioned it to them when I bought the second bike and still the brakes fell apart after a few hours...
I'm from Fort McMurray and placed an online order for some bike tires and a basketball for the free shipping. Got a prompt call not long after placing the order that there was a mistake on the stock amount and there was only 1 tire available. They gave me the option to cancel my order with a full refund or provide me with an alternative option. The guy provided me with an equal option they had in stock that was cheaper than what I had purchased. I got a refund for the difference and it shipped that day. Mistakes happen and the customer support and response was exceptional. Will definitely shop here again.
I just can’t say enough about the customer service amazing.I had bought a bike a few months earlier and was not happy.Mia was so knowledgeable and helpful.She spent a lot of time with me until I was Happy. In an age where customer service is lacking you will not be disappointed.They have a huge selection of every sporting good you may want or need.There is even a track indoors where you can test ride a bike. There is also a service repair shop as well.From the moment you walk in and until you leave you are surrounded by knowledgeable helpful friendly staff A one stop shop for sporting goods and reasonable prices. I came in today and had the pleasure of being assisted by Lindsay C. a bike sales manager @ united.nI told her I had come into the store looking specifically for a bike I had seen on their website. She promptly found the bike and led me to the area in the store for trying out the bikes.nI tried the bike and liked the way it handled, weight and specs all EXCEPT the tires.nI’ve always used a mountain bike for commuting and the skinny tires kinda scared me!nI just need a bit more lug for the commute route I take, I’m not too crazy but I do enjoy my unpaved trails!nnLindsay was very helpful answering all my questions and sharing information regarding the bike I was interested in, she explained that I could change the tires on the bike but that it still would not be as hefty as the 2nd choice I had at a different store for the same price point.nnI told her what I was looking for and she was very honest with me sharing her informed opinion as to what the bike would typically be used for, I found her honesty very refreshing and really enjoyed how she explained it all, not in a condescending manner but honestly and straightforward.nnI asked her expert opinion and she gave it to me!nnIn the end I went with a different bike at another bike shop that was better suited to my needs.nnSales integrity is hard to come by, THANK YOU Lindsay for demonstrating that you care about the customers’ needs above all else!
Our family have been long time customers of United. We have always received excellent service whether looking for a small purchase such as a entry level ball glove to all 4 bikes and the Thule bike rack for our vehicle. We have also enjoyed the high-end expertise when it come to competitive sport. We are a family with a competitive figure skater and have needed specialized equipment and service for a decade. Ty and his team are part of our team. The success of our athlete has be completely supported by United. Ty and his team are generous with their time and have gotten the job done on anything we request no matter the complexity including searching far and wide to bring in the equipment we have needed. United has a long history of supporting local sport and athletes like our daughter. Thank you for continuing to be such an important part of the Edmonton sports landscape.
