Uncle Bernies Campground

We were just looking for a place to roast hotdogs and marshmallows over a fire and called Bernie. He allowed us to use one of his sites for a few hours. Very friendly. Went out of his way to bring us some skewers for the food. Quiet and peaceful sites. Rustic but clean. The outhouses needed some work though.lots of wild turkey just a hundred yards from our spot towards sundown.

Very nice guy, we did the tube rentals, was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a great day of fun for a very low price

Was a very good time. Wish he had more selection of tubes. Cost the same to bring your own as it does to rent from him. 2.00$ a tube. Nice sandy bottom the whole way.

Great location for large parties who would like to rent out the entire grounds for say, a family reunion. A large pole shed with a kitchen to centralize activities, a large wooded lot with ample electrical outlets, onsite toilets with showers you're camping, they're camp toilets so don't get too excited but they do work, a large area for a wiffle ball game, a river for tubing, and a very polite, not to mention gracious host in Uncle Bern. Respect the area, respect the few rules, and have a great time.

The owner was very nice and friendly. The place is beautiful. I recommend this place to everyone. Kids friendly and pet friendly. Hot showers and everything else.

I had booked my wedding here which was on oct 31 of last year. The man approved it and we had paid the money in full to book it. 2 months later calls us cancel because his wife was terrified and thought we were going to do some evil things. First of all we are not those kind of people, and then the owner offers to rent it to us for a different date and wanted to charge us 200.00 more than what he had agreed to charge us before hand. I will never step foot here after that expierence

Bernie & his campground are great. Floating the river is awesome fun. Love the shower house to clean up in.
