Budget Host Inn

I was placed here through my job and although it was fairly nice when I arrived. The housekeeping for the week I was there was minimal. Basically, trash was removed and towels replaced with others. Most of the towels were dingy and stained. The carpet was never vacuumed and my bed was not made or sheets changed while I was there. I did check for bed bugs, Didn't see any. I don't think the toilet was cleaned either, as a ring of what looked like mold was forming by the time I left. While the owner was friendly, I would not stay here again. And, I would not recommend it for more than a one night, need a bed and shower kind of place. The one upside was the hot shower with great pressure!

It started with checking in. We arrived late at night, tired, and just wanting a room to stay. The man working there wanted keep talking while he took ages to get our paperwork into place. Way too expensive for what it was. As we entered the room we smelled an essence of possible water damage in the air. We didn't want to even step foot on the gross carpet. My mother put her watch on a magazine she found in the room. We only used the thinnest sheet on the bed because we weren't sure we wanted the thick sheet over us. I guess for an extreme scenario you could sleep here, but if you have a better option, go with that.

We reserved two rooms here the first room requested non-smoking, it smelled like an ashtray. Second room reaked of mold so bad we needed to go find another room since they had none other open. The owner or manager was very nice and respectful, I'm not sure where he was from he had a very heavy accent but he was very nice, on the other hand the Dirtbag looking white guy that is supposedly his maintenance person is an idiot they need to get rid of him, maybe he has no sense of smell but to deny the extremely strong smell of mold in that room is just lunacy. Just to clarify race does not play into this at all I am also a white man my lady friend however is not once again race does not play into this it was noted simply so that people would understand who the individuals were.

Overall it's been a good experience, friendly staff and clean room. The only reason this isn't five star is due to the fact that they marketed their high speed WiFi but none of our devices can retain a connection, and if we do get connected is less than 1MB connection speeds. I would stay here again though definitely!

This is a "budget" motel. If you need accommodations of a bed and a shower this place is perfect, nothing fancy. Easy on, easy off to the highway. Affordable and economical.
