I was visiting Halifax as a guest; and happened to pray Jummah here. The mosque is very well kept, and tidy.nnIt has ample space and facilities that a community centre should have.nnI was also informed about iftars the mosque hosts during Ramadan; and also separately invited by someone I met there.nnProud to see a strong and hospitable Muslim community in Halifax.
Peaceful place to attain namaz .nThey are 2 Jummah prayer so if you miss 1.30 you can attain 2.30.nnRemove the dirt of this duniya and make you remember of Allah and prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam peace be upon him..nnWell cleaned and managed by mosque community
I had the pleasure of visiting the Ummah Masjid and Community Centre to enjoy Iftar during Ramadan with some of my Muslim coworkers from IBM. Although I am not Muslim, I chose to observe Ramadan this year to support my friends, learn more about Islamic culture, and take on the fasting challenge. My experience at the centre was truly memorable. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, respectful, and kind. The space itself is beautiful and exceptionally well organized. I shared a delicious meal to break the fast, and even had the honor of dining with the Imam and members of his team. The conversations were warm and insightful. I highly recommend this centre - whether you are Muslim or simply curious to learn more about the culture and community.
Very nice masjid. Good courses and activities
Despite the initial challenges of navigating a new city, my visit to the Ummah Masjid, where I had the opportunity to attend Jummah prayer, was a blessed experience. I was met with such a warm and welcoming community. As soon as I entered, one kind sister remarked on the 'noor' – the light – she saw in my face and told me I have such a beautiful face. I responded that it was like a mirror, reflecting the light that she and others at the Masjid brought to me. Another lovely sister, who I believe was originally from Bosnia, was particularly welcoming and even had a gift for me – an English and Arabic Quran – in anticipation of my return visit. Unfortunately, circumstances prevented an immediate return, but I sincerely hope to make it back to the Ummah Masjid this summer, inshallah, to reconnect with these kind sisters and finally receive that thoughtful gift.
