Let's start with the service. Wonderful! Everyone from the host/hostess, servers, chef, and manager were awesome. Our sever/manager was pumped to have us and equally pumped about the food we were about the eat. The vibe was chill. We had the steak locally sourced and Donia farms, mushroom risotto, Uli's burger which came with skinny fries, yes skinny fries, and a Financier Cake for dessert. I'd go back just for the dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu soon.
We had such a lovely staycation in White Rock last September that we wanted to visit again for lunch and sight seeing. We decided to try Uli's and had a wonderful meal. The food is delicious, perfectly seasoned with decent portions. The calamari is so fresh and tender. The Oyster Rockefeller is divine, and the burger is tasty. The service is very attentive too. I highly recommend this place.
One of the originals on the strips of White Rock Beach, great quality of the food, authentic ketchup, gourmet burgers. The servers are extremely kind and accommodating for our request for sitting arrangements. The only missing link would be the wait time for our foods. Overall. A must go place in WR.
We went here on Saturday night for my husband's birthday. Our waiter, Dean, was fantastic. We ordered two of the burgers and while pricey, they were excellent and we'd happily order them again. The only issue we experienced was the length of time it took to receive food after placing our order. I think even dessert took 30 min or so. I noticed this same comment in prior reviews as well, so I wouldn't go here if you are on a time crunch or with kids who can't sit for extended periods of time. For dinner for 4 2 adult burgers, 2 kid meals and 1 shared dessert, we were there for 2 hours.
Cute restaurant with a great view! Loved sitting patio here for my Saturday brunch. Staff was friendly and helpful as they suggested some things on the menu, but the food took a long time to come to the table and it’s over priced for what it is. I’m not really sure what makes this place special other than the nice location.
The manager was super friendly and the food was good. We had the crab cakes and Vegan Burger. I wouldn't score Uli's five stars however, simply because the service/food doesn't match the price. The prices are high for what your offered. Plus the inside and outside patio isn't very nice, it's those places you visit once, but not regularly.
We came here for dinner Saturday night. It was our first time here and we were excited to check it out as we have heard many wonderful things. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't as good as it could be I don't think. We arrived shortly after 8 and didn't get our drinks until after 8:30. We both got a MaiTai and they were fantastic! It took a very long time to get our food - about 50 minutes. My fiance ordered a 4.0 burger with added bacon, as suggested by our server. He also subbed in seafood chowder for an extra $5 instead of fries. I had a Reuben sandwich in gluten free bread and I also subbed in the seafood chowder. My Reuben was quite amazing. It was very tasty! Both of our chowders were barely luke warm. That was disappointing, but we were hungry so didn't send them back. My fiance's burger was very good, except for the bacon which was inedible. Our server only came to check on us once at the very beginning after our first bites. The first bites were fine and didn't include any bacon. After that though, the bacon had to be removed because it was so hard and could not even be chewed. When my fiance pointed it out to the server at the end of the meal the server said something like, well, you could have told me when I checked in you after your first bite. I find that to be rather disrespectful, especially since he didn't come back to check on us so that we could say anything after that. He took the $4 bacon addition off the menu and offered desserts. We did not have room for desserts and didn't want desserts. The server said the kitchen was having a really difficult time that evening so I'm hopeful that this experience was an anomaly.
Uli’s is a restaurant that has won many, many awards. They already have a reputation for being one of the best restaurants in the city. Consequently, we came in with very high expectations. They delivered. The food was fantastic, and fresh. The view from the patio is unparalleled. We will be back, for sure.
Uli’s original burger and the calamari - everything tasted incredible with great flavour. Ambience is top notch on the patio overlooking the white rock pier and the water. Service was super friendly. The wait was very long to get a table but it was worth it!
Yum Yum If you are a burger aficionado this is a must stop. No ketchup please . These burgers are spectacular try with a few different toppings - choices such as deep fried pickles or candied shallots. Make this summer a burger and red wine discovery and treat yourself to a mouth watering treat.
