Really lovely garden. Kinda annoying that they charge for parking, and an hourly rate at that which makes you feel slightly rushed. But the garden itself is super nice and well maintained. And the tree walk within is spectacular.
Very beginning of the season but still much to see. Rhododendrons, magnolias, daffodils: flowers to enjoy. We saw the wetland area and the Golden Spruce. Hopped along on stumps and crossed a log bridge. Our highlight was the tree walk. We went around the suspended bridge twice and were amazing by the bird's eye view.
We visited on a Saturday, while many others were strolling through. While visiting, we spent a couple extra dollars and also visited the tree canopy. The tree - walk attendant gave us some genuine insight into what the land was and could be; and how those things relate to the current state of the area. We were encouraged to stay up in the canopy to experience the growth and to consider the growth's potential. It was the best advice, and should be passed on. The brief exchange was insightful and educational. We were wishing that we could have visited at the height of COVID lockdowns, when there would have been fewer people, fewer vehicles and less, or, a lack of the everpresent noise of the busy city and roadways that surround the garden. If we get a chance to return for the Apple event in October we'll try visiting earlier in the day. The hope is to have a better chance to enjoy the environs, the size of the trees, and the variety of plants. We saw many bees, which was great but were hoping to see a wider variety of birds - so, well try again, at a less busy time.
A great place for all ages for a walk and try the Greenheart TreeWalk. Have a stroll with family in a well keep flat trail into the forest. Go through a tunnel to the big veggie garden and native plant area. The produces food are for people in need and harvest by the volunteers weekly. The TreeWalk will open until mid of October. Now we don't have book a time for it. The staff and volunteers are super friendly and helpful.
Great place to have a relaxing stroll through the garden for all ages. Tree walk was a fun experience but it can be challenging if you are afraid of heights or shaky bridges.
We had a great time at the gardens and loved the treetop walk! I especially appreciate the guide before we went into the canopy who went over the trees and history of the area. Lovely walk and garden!
Beautiful garden with plenty to explore. There was a tree walk that we didn’t get to go on because we came late at around 3:30pm. The garden closes pretty early at 4:30pm, make sure you come early so you won’t be rushed. 1.5 hours would be enough for a good leisurely stroll through the garden. One thing I found was funny was that they had a little greenhouse for cacti that was video monitored—but who would want to touch the cacti?
Beautiful place at all times of year. But we came for the Apple festival and it was a lot of fun. Next year, we'll get tickets for apple tasting!
This is a beautiful garden in Vancouver! Filled with beautiful succulent plants, and flowers of all kinds! Taking the path though this garden was a true treat!
Good variety of plants but it's becoming too pricey. Tree walk was ok. Organisation was lacking and confusing. Parking is now pay parking... Had a much better experience pre-COVID.
