Lovely family owned business! Best tarts and coffee cakes in town!
Yuck! Bought their "Portuguese" egg tarts at C&C Supermarket, truly awful, worst I've ever had. Even the frozen 25 cent ones bulk from a Chinese grocery store taste better. The middle tastes like cheap vanilla pudding and is about twice as sweet as it should be.
Don't be fooled by the little hole in the wall type appearance, this place is great. Lovely people there and amazing food, with huge portions. Baked goods are fantastic.
This place has amazing Portuguese tarts and pastries. I ordered two boxes of sweets for an event and they were a hit. They also have hot plate and do catering. I strongly recommend this place.
They have a great hot table. The roast beef when they have it is the most tender thing I've ever had. The chicken and everything else is delicious. Love going there when I'm working nearby!! Chicken potatoes and veggies for lunch today. Coincidentally, it's also dinner because you get sooooo much food for such a great price.
Hidden gem in Toronto! Was looking to grab lunch in the area and saw the good reviews on google. Such a random but great lunch place. Feels like Portuguese home cooking. Gotta do their chicken and rice with a custard to finish.
The Portuguese custard tarts are transcendent, the most delicious tarts I have had in the entirety of my life. The owner is a gentleman of fine repute and outstanding business acumen. I would strongly recommend this place for any event, or simply for a dessert to remind you of life's simple yet marvellous pleasures.
We did a corporate catering lunch/dinner event with Tyfer Bakery and it was fantastic! Their roast chicken, potatoes and rice are all fresh and flavourful. The custard tarts are out of this world. Our staff love the food and can't get enough. Friendly and timely service at a great price. Highly recommended for any event.
