The Two Rivers Wildlife Park is a 500 acre community run park located where the Salmon River meets the Mira River on Cape Breton Island, NS.
In 1995, the community formed Two Rivers Wildlife Leisure Park after the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources decided to cease operation of the Park. A Board of Directors assisted by a group of volunteers work diligently to keep the Park operating.
Two Rivers Development Association is a not-for-profit association and a registered charitable organization. The money to run the park is generated through Park admissions, Park activities and fund raising.
At Two Rivers Wildlife Park, there are 38 varieties of wildlife and more than 12 varieties of domestic and wild animals housed in Two Rivers petting Zoo. Horse drawn wagon and sleigh rides, swimming in the Mira River, 3 U-Fish ponds, hiking and cross country ski trails, picnic areas, beach volleyball court, playground, camping for RV and tents, canteen plus other fun and exciting things to enjoy at Two Rivers Wildlife Park.
