Story

Open Hearth Park officially opened Labour Day weekend 2013. The park is adjacent to Harbourside and will be owned and managed by Harbourside Commercial Park. Open Hearth Park includes a multi-use sports field with synthetic turf, a commons area, an outdoor concert venue and skating area, a playground, a bike park and dog park, and a trail network with bridges connecting downtown Sydney with the communities of Whitney Pier, Ashby and the North End.

There's something for everyone, the best playground around for the kids, with a splash pad and musical toys! There's a nice long walking/running track with exercise equipment spaced throughout if you want a nice workout. There's even some soccer fields and foot ball fields not to mention lots of memorials to give you a taste of the history. A scenic walk around the brook that runs through the park and a seperate dog park to boot! There's nothing not to love!

Great place to take kids and great place for walking or jogging. They have a newly installed water park and there is a great modern playground here. They also host various summer events here as well.

There is something for everyone at the park. A well maintained playground with a splash pad for young kids , soccer and football feilds, a great walking and exercise trail . Even a canteen if you need it. Only thing that would improve it is a public outdoor pool.
