Service was great, food was mediocre. I ordered the "roundhouse favorite" Walleye entree. The walleye itself ,along with the red sauce with it, was very bland. The dish needed more acidity. The best part of the dish were the potato pancakes. My wife ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, the dish was a well executed typical buffalo wrap, nothing special. We also ordered a slice of carrot cake. The cake was good and added a nice finish to the meal. The beer at this place are great! Since the venue is a brewery, you have access to some excellent brews. I would heavily recommend this place as an ideal place to drink with friends and try some new beer options, but don't expect to be blown away by the food judging quality by the price scale.
We were traveling through and stopped to check this place out. I'm so glad we did. The food is INCREDIBLE, the waitress was above our expectations, so friendly and attentive, and the buildings history was incredible to see and learn. I can not even begin to explain how amazing the flavor is in all the dishes we tried, it was all just so perfect. But what I will try to explain is the lemon dessert cake that literally melted in our mouths and burst with just the right amount of lemon and vanilla. Ok you have to go try it! I decided I needed to walk off dessert and snap pictures of the building and was doing this when the owner came up to me to tell me about other pictures to check out. He then offered us a tour. I was so excited! I love history and old buildings. We were able to learn so much about this place and all that it holds in its walls. The staff, owners and food are all incredible and it houses a whole lot of things to do.....coffee bar, bar, restaurant, karaoke, comedy shows, paranormal explorations, there is a brewery, a ball room for weddings, and outdoor gorgeous area for lots of fun and so much more I know I'm forgetting. This is a must stop, must see place. I'm so thankful we made it a stop on our trip.
Had dinner here on Saturday January 7, 2023 after attending a show at the Paramount. My wife and I are not overly picky patrons, but felt this experience needed to be shared. We requested a couple of small samples of the beer before making a final choice. Five minutes later the waitress returned with the bad news. The bartender was "too busy" to pour a couple of shot glass sized samples for us to try. TOO BUSY? I swallowed my tongue in order to avoid lashing out at the waitress. For dinner my wife chose the New York Strip, I chose the prime rib. I also had a salad. Sadly, the salad was the best part of the meal. It was down hill from there. The only issue with the salad was the pieces were so large that I had to cut them with a knife to make them bite size. The New York strip, ordered medium, was gristly and tough. It came with tasty fries, but it took so long for the waitress to bring ketchup that we were halfway done with our meal before she finally arrived with it, and by then the fries had cooled and were no longer tasty. And, we were seated just a couple of tables away from her station! The prime rib was ANYTHING BUT PRIME. What should have been the most tender part was tough and chewy, even though it was ordered medium rare. This was NOT a prime cut. It was more like a reject from a choice cut. It came with roasted vegetables, a mixture of overcooked, mushy, lukewarm zucchini and other similar squashes. The mashed potatoes that came along with it were also literally cold. It's obvious the plate sat around for quite a while before being picked up and brought to us. As we weren't interested in staying much longer than necessary to eat our meal, we opted not to return any food to order something different, and hopefully better, off of the menu. We will not be eating here again and would never recommend eating here to anyone else.
What an amazing space! Architecturally astounding and definitely an incredible space for a wedding venue! The staff is extremely friendly and supportive, and the space is massive to fit a ton of people both inside and outdoors. The history of the building truly makes you appreciate the care Two Brothers has taken to keep the rustic charm yet also have a fun modern feel to it. I would definitely recommend this as a place to get married and have a reception! They have it all!
6-18-22. We had reservations for brunch and were given our choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Our waiter did an excellent job of taking care of us during our entire visit. He provided information on any of the drink and food items as needed. The drinks were great! Appetizers were great! Food was great! We will return soon. 6-19-22. We returned for the Father's Day festivities we saw advertised yesterday. We enjoyed sitting at a table in the shaded portion of the courtyard area listening to live music. Of course we did have to try the delicious cheese curds and the pulled pork. They have a good selection of draft beer and the food was amazing. We will come back here when we are in the area.
Had lunch with my family on the weekend. Food was delicious as well as dessert. Price was not too bad and the Ambiance is rustic. Server was on his game, checking in on us. Very polite. Just make sure plates and silverware are properly clean. Overall Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
I love places like this. Lots to see and do eat, drink, listen to a band or comedian or just enjoy the atmosphere. Very chill laid back old railroad roundhouse. Great use of the space. Can't wait to come back on a Friday or Saturday for the Zephyr Room.
Went for a work event, and was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend it for large group events, as well as just grabbing a bite to eat. And of course we know the beer is great. I am glad to see a building/historic area be put to good use by being repurposed into this pub/brewery. Definitely will be looking forward to future events here, no matter the size of the party. A lot of options, and I will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.
I went here with some family from out of town for the first time. I really enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in this old train service station. The appetizers were good. I ordered the Roundhouse burger. It was great. The beer I had was strong and the service was fantastic. We plan on returning in the summer when we can sit outside and eat in the center of the building. My wife is excited about the coffee shop because we like to take walks along the river every once in a while. We will definitely be back there soon.
This place is a gem, we typically go here when we have no idea what we what to eat and it's always a hit. The staff is always friendly and we typically get the same server, shes great! Great food and drinks with plenty of options for everyone. We will be back, thank you for a great experience!
