We stayed at Wallcourt Hall and it was a great experience. The rooms and the parlor are beautifully decorated and the staff truly made us feel at home. We enjoyed sitting near the fireplace in the parlor at night with a glass of wine and playing backgammon plenty of different games/puzzles to choose from to pass the time. Dinner and brunch at 1833 Kitchen and Bar was amazing not to mention the wonderful views of Cayuga Lake from the dinner table. A very relaxing mini vacation. Plenty of great wineries in the area as well as many state parks featuring beautiful waterfalls and trails. You won’t be disappointed!
My partner and I stayed here for the first time and have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. The spa is top notch, the food at 1833 was amazing and our inn keeper was exceptional at making our stay wonderful. Sue the GM was so kind to us when we interacted with her at the Spa as well as the front desk manager. The walking tour was very insightful into the history of the town/Inns and getting to tour each of the properties was great. We are looking forward to our next visit and having the opportunity to bring friends and family on the next visit!
We had a magical experience at the Inns while visiting for a Cornell graduation. The details of the property are beautiful, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the on site food is delicious. One of the most enjoyable hospitality experiences I’ve had in years and we regularly stay in boutique hotels in NYC and New England!. Our only regret is that we didn’t have time to try the spa!
My husband and I stayed here at the main Inn the two nights after getting married at another venue around the other side of the lake. We received unparalleled service from all staff at the Inns. A bottle of champagne was chilled in our room, a handwritten note, help with restaurant reservations, the list goes on! I loved the coffee and homemade breakfast bars & local yogurts in the hallway each morning. The view from our semi-private porch was excellent.
I found this place on TikTok because the owner, Pleasant Rowland owns this place. Very nice!! Felt very private and our innkeeper, Sheila was very nice! Did not go to the spa but I heard it was good. The gym is very nice! There is a peloton. One piece of advice I would have for the gym though is to please have Clorox wipes or something like that so people can sanitize the machines before and/or after their workout. Dale at the desk is very nice. Did not go to the spa but I have heard it is very beautiful and there is a day pass available for anybody interested not sure how much it costs Did not go on the hiking trail but there is one for guests, think I will do that next time. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and would come again
This is our favorite get away. We've stayed at the inn and E.B. Morgan house and both are unique and so well preserved. The restoration work done at all the properties is stunning. The staff has always been first class and made our stay special.Rooms: 5/5
I just wanted to drop you a line on my experience at The Inns of Aurora. Let me start with that I have been telling everyone I know about how they need to find a way to book their “hospitality experience”, that’s how fantastic it was. Christmas started with a Blizzard that hit Buffalo NY, our trip to Florida on December 26th never materialized and our Airline left us no back up flights. My girlfriend and I were exhausted from the storm cleanup and needed some refuge. She was familiar with your property being a Rochester native and a big MacKenzie-Child’s collector. Surprisingly, I had never heard of the property, but we booked a 3-night stay at the Rowland House starting on December 28th. We used the website for 2 nights booking but talked to a very nice individual who helped us extend to 3 nights and book our amenitieshaving all team member access to the SPA calendar is a huge customer service win. When we arrived the wow began, the Inn keeper who greeted us started our experience with kindness and enthusiasm about the Inns and the Rowland House. She was so excited to explain all the features of the entire house and amenities the stay brought. The second wow was our room #8, the MacKenzie-Child’s décor just floored us. The first night after our wine and cheese, we enjoyed a quick walk to the pub for a couple of beers and Burgerswe finally relaxed. Although the property was full, you felt like you were the only ones there. Thursday morning, we did the YOGA class which had an incredible all level instructor, she was able to manage the different experience levels in the class and gave us a great workout and stretch. We then drove to Ithaca for the day and returned for a night of relaxation walking the grounds, playing cards, and reading in the third-floor salon. Friday was our SPA day. The nicest SPA facility we have ever been to, the indoor-outdoor pools were incredible. Again, the SPA team picked up where the Inn Keepers left off, the team was cordial, kind, enthusiastic and proud about the experience we were about to have. The last night was a drink at the fire pit which our Inn Keeper lit for us and our fabulous dinner at the Aurora INN. By now I am sounding so redundant about service excellence. I wanted to share the details because I want your team to know how much the little personal touches meant to us. The facilities were immaculately maintained, the view outstanding and the food is delicious, but the real reason why I am telling everyone I can about the “The Inns of Aurora” is your very talented team. You will be seeing a big uptick in reservations from Buffalo, and I am sure, and we will be back soon. Thanks Jim
So nice, beautiful lake view. Have stayed twice this year. Lovely rooms and staff, highly recommend the EB Morgan house in particular. The food at 1833 is impeccable, the steak is perfect for dinner, ice creams and butter are house concoctions which certainly do not disappoint and the french toast is a great breakfast. Lovely getaway
It was a lovely, lovely experience. The inns are so refreshing. Well worth the price. The town of Aurora is quaint, and the people are so friendly. I will definitely visit again, so I may continue to live out my rich fantasy. Participated in the morning hike by Matt and Mike, who also created the trail. 1833 Kitchen had some of the best food I have had from a hotel restaurant. The vineyards near Keuka Lake are moments away. Overall, it was a great experience.
Great place, pricey, but worth it. Lots of free activities to attend, and others you pay for. Loved the yoga with Jackie. She is a gem, THE BEST YOGI I've ever had We hadn't of fun, biking, kayaking, & short mini-hike. Loved being on Cayuga Lake, so peaceful. Sunsets were gorgeous & everyone was so helpful. See if you can catch up with Grace when you get there for a list of hidden gems in the Finger Lakes region. Take a bike ride to Long Point State Park - it's a good workout. There are restaurants in Aurora 2, but ask about the area. Check out Dugans Cafe for breakfast/lunch, good eats, locals eat here And don't miss Salt of the Earth in Union Springs - ah-mazing food, service & ambiance Definitely planning a fall trip here!
