My wife and I went to the Twisted Lemon for our birthday weekend and all I can say is WOW! We booked the Grand Suite which was very reasonably priced, especially for what you get. We got a beautiful bed, fireplace, seating area, kitchenette, full bathroom with a large tub. Plus, some local goodies and massive ice cubes, to ensure you can enjoy their Clarity cocktails in your room or in the restaurant…. The food…was truly epic. We have been to many fine dining restaurants around the world and some of the best restaurants in Canada and I can tell you that Twisted Lemon really is a top level fine dining experience. We got the Bone Marrow Mousse, Pistachio encrusted Scallops, a fresh beet and goat cheese salad, the sweet potato gnocchi with a mushroom cream sauce and finally the brownie fried in funnel cake batter. All unique versions and amazing! Our favourite was the scallops with a fresh pickled onion and apple salad. I could go on more but, you get it. The service was top notch and if you want a city getaway for a night, this is the spot to go!
The only place worth eating in Haldimand county and beyond. Dan and his team put out amazing meals while his wife Laurie is a cocktail genius. The staff are all knowledgeable on the food and drink menus and are an incredible part of the dining experience. Worth the drive from wherever you may be coming from.
Went here for the first time on Sat Feb 5th to celebrate 2 birthdays. The food was fork tender lamb shank and wild boar and was delicious. The service was outstanding with our server not only clearly informed but delightfully engaging. Awesome sense of humor. We will most certainly return.
I can't say enough positive things about my trip and experiences in Cayuga, ON Canada this past weekend. Broecheler Inn on Highway 3 and owners, Helga and Manfred's food, service, accommodations and hospitality were perfection. So too was the the service and experience with the Twisted Lemon. 2 hidden gems in and just outside of Cayuga! Another added bonus is the Twisted Lemon is making brand new Boutique suites available for booking above their restaurant this summer !
Twisted Lemon is one of those hidden elevated gems, you can't believe you didn't know about already. The food prepared by Chef Dan and his team is exceptional to the palate experience. The ambience is so comfortable, and everyone needs to experience this elevated casual chic dining adventure. Sooo good! Thank you Chef, Jan
Tried this place out for the first time today, this establishment came highly recommended by pretty much any of my friends who had been here previously. Quite the menu I must say. Tried a couple things out that I have never eaten before. The food was absolutely excellent! Higher end for pricing well worth it. For starters we had the Duck confit Tacos and The Great Caeser toast both were awesome! , for mains we both enjoyed the Wild Boar dinner with shrimo added and The Pork belly and scallops, I will definitely order the Wild Boar again, the Asiago artichoke cream was an excellent accent to the Brussel sprouts and potato latkes, my gf thoroughly enjoyed her Pork belly and scallops. For desert I had the funnel cake brownie with creme brullee ice cream wow!! And she had the special which was a dark chocolate beer cake with berry sauce. The flavor profiles were all astounding. Definitely looking forward to trying more of their menu.
Had a fabulous Anniversary meal tonight. We’d highly recommend Twisted Lemon. The atmosphere, friendly staff and food was Fantastic! Thank you from making it special meal memorable! Fresh Barratta, Wild Boar and Pork Belly/Scallops followed by Crème Brûlée. Draft IPA and Lavender Lemonade
My family and I enjoyed dinner on the patio and it was a fabulous experience! The flavour combinations of the appetizers and entrées we had were well thought out using locally grown produce and herbs, and the plating was Master Chef quality see photos. The staff are extremely attentive, kind, and passionate about the food and drink options provided to their clientele. Portion sizes are generous and we will definitely be going back again soon to try different items and hopefully leave room for dessert next time. Thank you to the owners and staff of Twisted Lemon for making our evening out one to remember!
An absolutely amazing place to dine. The Chefs create amazing food. Tastes and looks amazing. We always return. Can never thank Chef Dan and his staff enough. Edit. Today I had the Beef tenderloin and was the best steak I've EVER had in my life.
I wish there were more restaurants like this fine establishment! We had a fantastic meal at Twisted Lemon. The food, friendly staff, and cocktails were all top notch. We were seated inside which was a great experience because we were able to listen in on the Chef and kitchen staff interact as they cook and plate amazing meals. This place is run extremely well, they take immense pride in their friendly service, delicious food and as you can see the owner will come by and say hello to every patron. I started with the Seafood Corn chowder and being a soup connoisseur I have to say this soup was really yummy. I could eat a gallon of this chowder it was so good! For an entree I had the Lamb Shank and this was braised well done, fall off the bone tender which to me did not have the gamey lamb taste and that is exactly how I like it. My wife had the Pickerel and it was excellent. Nice locally grown vegetables and delicious sauce. Cocktails are worth every penny as they are unique and hand crafted. The only thing that I would change is that I would not order the shrimp again as an extra, for two reasons; I didn't need more food, and additionally it didn't have quite the flavour that I was anticipating. Finally we ended our meal with a Creme Brûlée which was very good. What I liked: + Quality of the food + Super Friendly Staff + Overall Value quality for the price + Plating / Presentation + The menu changes over time to introduce new unique items + Strict adherence to COVID safety protocols What I did't like: - Nothing other than I would love to see another location closer to Hamilton, this place is THAT good!
