Went with a group of eleven people for breakfast on a Wednesday as they have a fantastic breakfast with good live entertainment. The group played some great fiddle, banjo, guitar etc music. Also the music was at a nice sound level that we could still have conversation while they were playing! The food was fantastic and no one left hungry that’s for sure! Everyone from the group will be returning! They all had a wonderful time with no complaints! Way to go Shelley’s!
We had a meeting and lunch at Shelly's and it turned into an engagement party! The food was fantastic, the staff were incredible and Shelly was an amazing hostess for a very special moment. We've been there many times in the past too and she and her crew NEVER disappoint! We will continue to go there whenever we can! Oh yes, and their menu and specials are terrific, huge helpings, home baked pies and the price is very reasonable.
Restaurant is absolutely beautiful at Christmas time! Shelley sets up a ton of nutcrackers and it is amazing to see all of her collection. I've been there on multiple occasions and have had multiple events there. Food is always good and hot and they are very accommodating for substitutes and they are very careful with people that have allergies celiac, etc. Would highly recommend!
We had Shelly's Family Dining cater a birthday party....IT WAS FANTASTIC! Roast beef on a bun, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad and a bean salad...They were so generous with the portions and the beef was sooooooo tender and tasty! Our guests could not say enough about how good the food was...Thank you Shelley for the fantastic food that made our celebration complete!
Great breakfast. Fast and offers a wide selection. Would give it 5 stars but you need a sweatshirt as the fans make it quite cool. Highly recommend After thinking about it, I have upgraded my review to 5stars
Giving benefit of the doubt: We came during brunch time so it was expected to be busy, but sitting for 55 mon before even having our order taken was unusually long. This place used to be amazing before COVID, with more staff but they really do require more servers again. A few mistakes with my meal but it was comp’d and free so I am giving 3 stars for that level of service. Make a reservation, walk in is expected to wait longer and you are not guaranteed a table. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good. The wait and mistakes were disappointing. Come here if you have more than 1 hour, and you won’t be disappointed. If you are in a hurry, go to a fast food location as this is a nice spot to sit and talk, it just may take a while to get your order. And again, it is great, like home cooking. It just may take longer.
Great little country restaurant in a quaint restored church. Wish they were open for dinner through the winter. Miss the Friday night fish n chips.Food: 4/5

On Tues July 26 I was with a party of 7 from Dundas. Our reservation was for 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely young lady. Our meals were prompt. Unfortunately they were not hot. Your picture showed 2 scoops of potatoes. We all got 1. We did not receive slices of turkey, but bits and pieces. We tried to get the attention of the waitress to let her know of our concerns. We were trying to get more gravy. She did ask me if I wanted more hot water for my tea. It didn't arrive. Compared to our last Christmas in July, it was very disappointing.
Heard about this place from a friend and had to try it. I wasn’t disappointed. Had the liver and onion special delicious. Will definitely come back oh yes and had the homemade mushroom soup 2 thumbs up
