We recently had the pleasure of dining at Turkish Kebab House and it was an unforgettable experience. Tried the Adana kebap and the döner platter, both of which were outstanding. The culinary standards here are truly remarkable—perhaps even a first for Ottawa. The flavors were authentic and perfectly executed, capturing the essence of traditional Turkish cuisine.nnThe ambiance is warm and inviting, making it easy for anyone from any cultural background to find something they’ll love. It’s not just a restaurant but a cultural experience, where you can truly appreciate the diversity of flavors.nnWhat made the experience even more special was the owner, who personally tended to us, adding a genuine touch of hospitality. As a Turk, I felt proud to see Turkish Kebab House serving as a cultural ambassador in Canada. It truly felt like a taste of home, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious and authentic meal.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Turkish Kebab House, and it was an outstanding culinary experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for a memorable meal. The decor beautifully captures the essence of Turkish culture, making you feel like you've been transported to the heart of Turkey.nnThe menu offers a diverse array of authentic Turkish dishes, but the kebabs are the true stars. I opted for the mixed grill platter, which featured an assortment of chicken, and beef kebabs, all perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Each bite was a burst of flavor, tender and juicy, with a delightful smoky finish. The accompanying sides, including the freshly baked pita bread, hummus, and tabbouleh, were equally impressive and complemented the main dishes perfectly.nnThe service was exceptional, with attentive and knowledgeable staff ensure that every aspect of our meal was enjoyable. The attention to detail, from the presentation of the food to the overall hospitality, truly stood out.nnIn addition to the fantastic food and service, the prices were reasonable, offering great value for the quality and quantity of the dishes. Turkish Kebab House is a gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Turkish cuisine in a warm and welcoming environment. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu!
So I live near by and have seen it get renovated and opened. I always wait for a bus across the street and last week I could smell the deliciousness that was coming out of the roof.nnMy friend and I came tonight to try the food. I’ve never had Turkish food before. And I must say, I’ll be back!!!nnIt was so fresh and so incredibly tasty. You do get a lot which is perfect for sharing and well worth the price.nnI ordered the Eggplant in tomato sauce which was awesome. My main was the Adana Kebab and I also got the Turkish coffee. For dessert we had the very very very fresh baklava.nnWe had ordered two soft drinks but they accidentally for got them. So the coffee was on the house which was super sweet of them to offer. The staff are top notch and easy on the eyes . Will be back again for sure.
This is the second location. I remember standing in line for many many hours last year at the Kanata location, no more!nnThis location is literally within 20 mins of where I live, this may become a problem for my wallet.nnThe chicken shish kebab was succulent, the beef shish was delicious! You can tell they use high quality ingredients here!nnI don’t know what kind of bulgur they use, but it’s very delicious and flavourful! It’s not fine bulgur, it’s a bit more like buckwheat, I gotta ask em!nnWhile waiting for our takeout order, we were served some tea, very thoughtful!nnA bit on the pricy side, 2 people dinner cost ~ $65, but worth a try!
Food was ridiculously delicious! We ordered the Iskander with lentils soup. The Iskander was flavourful, tender and filling. It came with the best yogurt I’ve had in all my years in Canada! I strongly recommend if you looking to try a taste of Turkish food!
