Found this place from an instagram review/ post. We almost turned around as it didn’t look like a “nicer” restaurant from the outside. A little unusual and quaint looking, very limited parking in the front. But we saw a parking space at the back and it was packed. A lot of people going into the restaurant and a lot of take out. So we decided to go in to check it out. Looks completely different inside, we were pleasantly surprised.nThere’s limited seating so we had a 40 minute wait and it was well worth it!!nWe ordered the platter and a spicy meat Pide. Good portion size, had our full! Reasonably priced and delicious. The rice was a little oily for my liking but was perfectly cooked and seasoned.nThe decor was very nice and warm but wouldn’t give it a dashing review because of limited seating.nHowever, I don’t think I’ve seen so many people visiting a restaurant for take out and so crowded willing to wait. This speaks volumes for the delicious food. There was no compromise on the service even though it was so very busy! Bravo! A place to eat at more often and on the top of my list of recommended restaurants in Ottawa!
All I can say is WOW.nWe got the family platter to split and everything was amazing. Felt like we were eating like king and queens.nThe service was spot on, and they were able to accommodate my gluten and dairy allergy with ease. I even asked for the meat to be not spicy hot and it was so flavourful.nnI definitely will be coming back here with a group of friends
There's a lot of hype around this restaurant and it is quite justified. They have delicious food and you need to be ready to wait due to the large lineups on weekends and public holidays.nThe inside of the restaurant is decorated well and looks good. The food is fresh and the quantities are good. They price their food slightly high but that's not a big problem.nThe wait-staff are a little hard to find maybe it's because their restaurant is always full and I found their salad severely lacking in presentation. Don't put lettuce butts in food, chefs!nDespite that, it's still a very good restaurant that's worth a visit. We love coming here every once in a while and always get delicious, fresh food.
Although there are many Turkish Restaurants in town now, Pita Bell is still the best! We were greeted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, adorned with traditional Turkish décor that instantly set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.nnWe were a big group with diverse tase, so we carefully selected our dishes-- the whole chicken grilled to juicy perfection, accompanied by fragrant rice with raisins that added a delightful sweetness. The shish taouk, tender and bursting with aromatic spices.nnThe customer service was a weak point of Pita Bell, but recently they have made a significant improvement. Hope they can keep it up.nnReservation is highly recommended, specially on weekends. Previously we had to wait >an hour to be seated when we went without a reservation.
Excellent experience ... the food was tasty and fresh ... the staff very friendly thank you Elena ... and the atmosphere was very welcoming and oriental. We will definitely visit again, tell friends and family about it, and make it our dining destination for whenever we have visitors from out of town.
