A major station in Ottawa that connects the buses and train line. You can easily get on a bus once you alight from a train and vice versa. The train line connects the east & west of Ottawa making it easy to commute. The train station has a good modern design, easily accessible with wheelchair, large space and rarely congested. Clear directional signages, large screens with real time travel information and route maps, sufficient bus shelters in a very conducive environment. The only downside is the frequent delays in bus arrival which is quite understandable.
One of the main stations here in Ottawa. You can find here Buses & trains. It’s also connected to so many lines from east to west. It’s very clean & well organize. The atmosphere here is good and I loved the design of the train station. It’s not that crowded and easy to navigate on it.
Such a bad design for Ottawa weather! We shouldn’t build any above ground train stations for a place with extreme cold temperatures. The poop smell issue inside the train still exists even after few years. The train cabins cold like a fridge and the heating system is not strong enough especially when all the doors are wild opened during the wait time.
Station is designed to get people onto the let and going downtown. If you're coming from downtown / going to the West end, you have to walk all the way around for your stop, and maybe sprint for your bus if you have a tight connection. Heated shelters, schedule and real time bud trackers available.
Horrible. When a train is delayed, huge numbers of people fill the platform. They don't tell us how long the train will be delayed for. OC Transpo officials try to cram as many people as possible into a train going nowhere. Everyone is unhappy.
