The Ottawa Train Station, located in the southeast area of the city, is a key transportation hub offering convenient access to VIA Rail Canada trains and local buses. It provides amenities such as ticket counters, waiting areas, and parking facilities, all maintained for passenger comfort and convenience. Wheelchair accessibility, friendly staff, and convenient connections make it a convenient gateway for travelers visiting or departing from Ottawa.
This is a large spacious station that was very clean and easy to navigate through. Washrooms were easy to find and were clean. Lots of signs to direct you to where you are going. Would travel this way again and through this station.
This place gets better and cleaner and more organized every time I go. Easy process train passenger loading, clean bathrooms, devices charging stands, minutes free parking, multiple parking lots, EV chsrgers, has intercity bus stop to Ontario and Quebec destinations, Metro station on site, very close to St Laurent station, taxis on site, few minutes from touristic downtown and byward Market. It has one cafe and some wending machine and a vip cafe bar. A reputable restaurant on site will bring more to the station!
Trains, what a wonderful way to travel. We travelled from Ottawa to Montreal. The Ottawa Train Station is bright, clean and well signed. There is a little cafe and some vending machines. Lots of washrooms and a Business Lounge. The train was on time, a surprise given the freezing rain we're having. There were lots of staff and signs directing the way. Also, there were signs showing the progress of the trip.nnWe printed our tickets in advance and were travelling with backpacks making boarding easy. Our tickets were checked as we went through the Door or Gate and then again on the train.nnStaff communicated in English and French. Chairs are so comfortable with a massive headrest preventing a tall person sleeping from rolling onto your shoulder. There are plugs and USB as well as free WIFI which my husband found choppy. The tables are large to fit all sorts.nnA snack and beverage cart went by when our train initially departed. This trip was so much more relaxing than driving and the cost was $100 return per person making it a less stressful choice since we didn't have to worry about finding our way to downtown Montreal and deal with parking and gas.
Hands down the best train station in Ontario. Ottawa's train station includes everything: a coffee shop, wending machines, two atms, an information center on the city and the train schedule. All while being spacious and clean! Finding seating was not difficult at all, and the place is very inclusive for diabled people. The toilets have large, clean stalls and there's ramps everywhere theyre needed and they're not too steep. Also the male bathrooms also have a changing table, this surprised me as unfortunately even in Canada those shouldnt be taken for granted. Also there's like 30+ taxis outside if you're not able to take the bus or an uber
