Tu Moda Spa for Beauty and Wellness

Just had my first experience at Tu Moda, and I will definitely be going back! I booked a pregnancy massage, and to be honest was a little nervous because sometimes you just can't get comfortable when you're pregnant. When I arrived, the atmosphere was lovely and all the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room itself was very cozy, and they made the appropriate accommodations for a (very) pregnant woman, including a warmed bed, body pillow, and water. My masseuse Kerri was very professional asking me about the pressure and where I needed work, she made me feel very at ease. She adjusted the bed to my preference for the lying on my back portion of the massage, which helped me get comfortable despite the huge belly. I can't wait to go back post pregnancy for another relaxation session!

Update: I just received a phone call from Tu Moda management in response to my letter. They refunded the entire no-show fee, and apologized profusely for the charge. They also addressed all of the concerns that I included in my letter, and were incredibly sincere, polite, and honest. I'm MTF transgender, and was concerned about the quality of service that I was going to receive. They related that they had dealt with trans clients before, and welcomed their business. They indicated that they were professional, and would have no issues with anyone who showed different gender presentations. They did the right thing, and addressed the issue. ________________________________________________________________ A customer of mine bought me a day at Tu Moda to thank me for some work that I did. I was supposed to meet my customer's office manager and front desk person there at 9:00 AM on Monday. Due to predictions of icy weather - freezing rain, I had the front desk person at my customer cancel me. Since it was the weekend when the ice prediction came in, we were unable to cancel earlier than that morning. Both of them showed up because they were concerned about getting charged for the missed appointment. We figured that since both of them showed, there wouldn't be an issue, especially when the cancellation was due to weather. Fat chance. I got hit with a $267 cancellation fee - 40% of the booked set of services. No offer to reschedule. No offer to fix anything. No understanding at all. Not only are services here grossly overpriced, and a huge rip off, they also care nothing about customer service, or their customer's needs. I would NOT book any services at this place in the winter. If the weather intervenes, you're going to get screwed. Big time. I will never step foot in this place ever again.

I have been going to Tu Moda for a while and have to say that I am always grateful to be treated like I am coming home again every time I am there. The attention to my needs is paramount to the employees. They strive to make every visit the best.

1st mani/pedi here and it was wonderful! Many thanks to my tech, Thais...she was so nice. She did a beautiful job. What I really liked was that I notice she had such a light touch... I really enjoyed that. I'll be back again to see her!
