Stopped for one, the Buckhorn was packed so we tried Trout Lake Tavern. Friendly bartender, good drinks. 4 stars because it's pretty rundown. We didn't try any food so can't speak to that. Places like this need our support to stay open or we'll all just be going to Applebee's someday.
Rude bar tender/ waitress she should not be drinking or running a bar. Worst service won’t be back, we should of stayed at the Buckhorn!!!
We stopped by here at closing time. We didn’t know but they had temporary hours at the time. Anyway they served us even though it would keep them longer. The service was amazing and the food delicious! This is definitely a 5 star place! Oh did I mention, they served us with a smile and did not make us feel rushed! We are from Grand Rapids, Michigan but whenever we are in the area again we will definitely stop by there.
My drink was cold, my food was good and I didn't have to wait for it. Dried out my stuff next to the wood stove while I ate. Very reasonable prices and the bartender was very pleasant.
Quite a dive... place is run down the roof is falling down, poor lighting. They need to invest some time to fix the place up imo. To top it off, the only worker was not very friendly. Vibes that outsiders don't belong there.
Great food! Awesome burgers for supper and came back in morning for wonderful home cooked breakfast! The owner were friendly and informative about the area! I would definitely go back!
AMAZINGGGG!! COMING AGAIN ANYTIME OF DAY! I DONT CARE IF I EVEN EAT OR NOT. I usually don’t write reviews but this just deserves it. At first we just came for lunch and the food was fantastic and our waiter was so sweet and kind. Then we came back at midnight for a drink and it was a blast! People throughout the day there are so sweet and kind hearted and they can help you find what you want to do when you stay in Michigan from 4 wheelers to ghost tours! Best place ever! I learned so much mentally here! Changed my life!
Excellent burger I and fries.was stuffed after eating it. Couldn't leave any behind. So so great.
Called ahead to order food and was told that they were too busy to take our order and we could just order when we get there. Get there to order food 4kids begging to eat after a long road trip and I wait inside for 20 minutes and don’t even get acknowledged or even greeted. The bartender/waitress was too busy chit chatting with the people sitting at the bar.
Waitress/bartender was extremely crabby and down-right rude. We noticed that she was not just rude to us, but to everyone that came in.
