Just off the Gunflint Trail in Minnesota, charming lake shore cabins on beautiful Trout Lake and the headwaters of he Kadunce River. 16 miles from Grand Marais and the North Shore of Lake Superior. Child friendly and pet friendly.

Story

Nestled in the forest , we are a small, peaceful resort in a wilderness like setting. Lake shore cabins with direct access to the lake and on-shore fishing. Hilltop cabins with lake and forest views.

Lake trout, rainbow trout, and splake fishing. No special fishing equipment needed. Brook trout fishing on the Kadunce River. Walleye, northern pike, and other fishing nearby. Kids love it at Trout Lake - swimming, campfires, recreation area, Finnish sauna. A great place to be - we call it 'Trout Lake Magic!'

Mission

To open up this little piece of heaven so others can experience and spread the "Trout Lake Magic."

Love This Resort! You won't be able to find a more peaceful and relaxing resort as this. I go up every year for the trout fishing and late autumn foliage hunting. The views are absolutely breathtaking! I'm going back up this winter for some ice fishing.

Stayed for 3 days in cabin 2. Awesome experience. The owners are quite friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay.

I stayed at Trout Lake Resort in August of 2016 and had an amazing time. We stayed in Cabin 2 and it has everything we could have needed and more. Very comfortable and relaxing surroundings. Fully furnished cabin and charcoal grill outside next to the patio. Trout Lake Resort is located about 20-25 minutes outside of Grand Marais off the Gunflint Trail - no cell phone reception out here but you won't miss it with how peaceful and relaxing the area is. The owners are great as well as their four legged friends, Coach and Lucky! I can't wait to visit again next year.
