This is my new favorite place. I would normally not pay $8.79 for a smoothie, but they offer a pairing. A sandwich/wrap with a smoothie. It was so worth it. The jerk chicken wrap was delish & the smoothie was amazing!!! I don't do dairy or bananas & yet they somehow manage to make my smoothie absolutely delicious Vegetarian options: The smoothie offerings are mainly vegetarian & there are vegetarian options for the sandwiches Parking: Parking is limited in the area. I can walk there from my office.
Fresh tasting fruits and mix isn’t over sweet either. Great portion, worth the price. We tried the Sunrise sunset and blueberry Bliss. Quick service
I received not only the most watery and bitter smoothie, but also a wrap that contained rotten pineapples and whatever sauce the use for the Caribbean jerk chicken wrap is usually a red color with amazing flavor… well not here. It tasted of vinegar and was absolutely old. When I called to receive a refund I was given the run around, I called again and spoke to a different person and they assured me within days if I don’t get a call back they have found my order and will refund me and still nothing. I’m pregnant and was eating a bite or two of this when I really noticed something was very off. I’m just upset that it was never refunded, and the customer service was horrible. Like I wasn’t trying to sound like a rude person; I was very nice about it and they did not take it seriously. In the past I have also received food that had a staple in it, and while that was resolved at the time with a new sandwich, it’s clear they are not careful and not attentive to what they are serving. Won’t be going back to this location.
Ordered ahead, was not ready when I walked in, but my boyfriend’s was, who had ordered after me for the exact same time. Ordered cheddar sun chips. Given garden vegetable sun chips with no warning, disgusting. Tell me if you don’t have what I ordered. Smoothies are always average here. Only came for “free smoothie day” which still required a purchase of their disgusting food lol.
I have been a long-time customer of Tropical Smoothie in New Haven since its conception. I would often score points quickly because of my love for the Bahama Mama and Peanut Paradise smoothies. From time to time, I would have issues with my food order but didn’t make mention of it because they were minor. However, during the times of those issues, I would be a pick-up customer. During the pandemic and to date, I became a delivery customer and had the most issues with my food and smoothie quality. Most recently, I had two major issues with the food quality and timeliness of the order, in which I had to request refunds and potentially stop business at the establishment. All that to say, I have never been met with such people who have shown integrity, care, and superb customer service as the owner-operator, Lenore, and the staff member, Equality. Lenore went above and beyond to ensure that I remained a loyal customer by calling me and offering me her trust/commitment to the company. Equality was very genuine and understanding. They both followed up with me, and for that, I will continue to be a customer of this establishment.
24 oz tropical smoothie for just $6. Smoothie is delicious and healthy. Fantastic price while other juice/smoothie bars charge $10+ for a smaller size smoothie. The good is also delicious as an great price for quality.
Smoothies were tasty and good I definitely recommend this place if you want a cool refreshing drink
I just had the BEST smoothie I have ever had IN MY 59 years on this earth!!! The chocolate and Peanut butter had just the right amount of peanut butter to off set the chocolate. Hope I get to have another one before I head home!!!
As the smoothie was being made, the employee put in a whole cup of sugar. It didn’t taste like a smoothie, it tasted as though I was drinking sugar. Go elsewhere if you’re hoping for a refreshing, natural smoothie.
Very slow service! The workers looked confused when they were making the smoothies. I have been to this location 3 times. And all 3 times it was either not busy or moderately busy. And all 3 times the same slow service! The workers should not walk around like zombies and be very slow to cleaning the blenders and prepping the next drink. They need to hustle up to make quick service!
