Tropical Delights

This place is fantastic! I ordered oxtail and beef patty and it taste like I ate from Jamaica. I am definitely coming back here.

Tropical delight is in the cut lol, and it definitely reminds me of a Jamaican restaurant back home, not modern, just a class of Jamaica for me. This restaurant has some of the best, of not the best chicken soup in the town, my wife and I love them, not to mention they are polite and well mannered in dealing with Their customers.

Curry Goat, White Rice and Cabbage...Size Large for $16.00 is reasonable. Soon as I walk in they take my order and I only have to wait 5 minutes or less for them to make my plate....Overall the food is amazing I would recommend this place.

The taste just remains the same from my first order in the late 90's til now! The best Benji spot in New Haven.

Food is delicious. Service is fast and curtious. The prices are more than fair for the portions you get. Love this place.

I tried the spicy and regular beef patty... they were both good. I took two stars away because the place Just needs a lil update or something. Looks rundown and sketchy lol. Looks in a place is something that's important 2 me as customer. The only reason i came in is cause i can smell the beef patty 2 blocks away

The food was delicious, we had spicy beef patties with coco bread, rice and peas one plate with oxtail and the other with curry goat. I would have taken a picture of the food, but I couldn't stop eating.

Tropical Delights... If your in the mood for an authentic Jamaican beef patty or even a chicken patty, spicy or mild theres no other place like Tropical Delights. Their pattys a baked to a crispy flaky delicious texture that will have you craving for more. Say goodbye to those store bought soggy oil filled pattys and say hello to a piece of heaven. If your in the mood for real jamaican food this is the place, when you walk in the smell of the great seasoning alone will intoxicate your taste buds. They have a wide selection of jamaican beverages that will make you come back to try them all. The only draw back to the place is its not easy to find. Its in its own little corner. In a small plaza of of fitch street near Eli Whitney High School. I truly recommend this place for a quick bite they serve you with great care and courtesy. This is not a formal dine in restaurant just a place to find great take out for the price of junk food. Very inexpensive. Try it youll love it.

I was upset. The oxtail didn't have much of a flavor like normal.
