I wanna give them 0 stars but that’s impossible so I give them 1! Smh no flavor on the Mac and cheese literally easy Mac, no spice to the jerk sauce, my shrimp over cooked, and butter cookies are old and scared to try to the beef Pattie’s :
I would give them a negative rating if I could. Was just there last night and wont be back. Where do I start? Extremely poor customer service, skimpy portions, extensive wait times, etc. The girl at the front counter was unprofessional, nasty, and nonchalant. The guy whom I'm assuming is the manager had me waiting when my food was already ready, I was told my food would be ready in 20 minutes and it was 40, and for what I paid, I should've gotten way more. They either should improve or go out of business. I won't be back!!!
Worst burnt jerk, ordered 1/2 white. So badly burned was dry and so finely chopped bones pieces were in beans and rice. Pieces should have been whole , way less than half of white chicken and mostly chopped into fine bones. This location should be closed. Cabbage is not supposed to be shredded. Will stick to Munster location. Close Calumet Park location
Jerk salad was way better than the one in Munster IN.
Recently had lunch here and it was amazing everything was cooked perfect….! Chicken was flavorful the Rice was also good.
The food was delicious!! I ordered food for a party. It was ready on time, and it was great. We had jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, cabbage, and rice & beans. The crowd favorite was the brown stew chicken!Recommended dishesJerk Chicken, Brown Stew Chicken
They get 5 stars THIS time because #1, all of the food was delicious - Jerk chicken dinner with cabbage & yams. Portions are always plentiful. No complaints. #2, the food was ready when I arrived to pick it up hallelujah!. It's annoying in general when restaurants provide a pickup time & its not ready until 20 minutes later. Tropic Island sometimes have off days, but overall, I can expect a good meal from them.
I literally had them every weekend for the last two months. I cannot get enough of it. Like an rewards for work during the week.Food: 5/5
I've been coming here for over 10 years, they used to be so nice so polite so kind to their customers. Now they have these unprofessional young ladies working they are rude, disrespectful, they ignore while right in your face... I will never come here ever again!!!!! It's to many amazing jerk food restaurants out here, they can keep their disrespect to themselves!!!!
We each ordered dark jerk chicken platters. We each got dry white jerk chicken platters. The chicken was somewhat good but dry and they give you the least amount of sauce possible. After eating this food I was fine because I didn't eat much, but it tore my husband's stomach up. This was not a good idea the night of a 4.5 hour flight. Never again.
